Game looks familiar.

The pay off for a "money game" appears to be between $800,000 and $1,000,000, and until our alumni giving base expands we will need to play at least one per year.It use to be that you scheduled one non conference you should win, one you might win, and one you would need divine intervention to win. That appears to sum up this years schedule, with SMU and Indiana as "mights".

We knew that we didn't have an experienced QB when the season started, and will take our lumps early in the season until one appears.Having said that, I certainly didn't think our performance at Texas would be "worst then terrible" as my Army D.I. was fond of saying. Otherwise, at first blush I still think we have a decent chance at 7&5.

CFB Fan Equity (Non-Power Conf) - Emory Sports Mkting Analytics

So 5 of the worst football programs rank in top 10 as regards fan equity? You got some splanein to do, Lucy. -
I don't see how we are considered favorites with only 9 returning starters and unresolved quarterback status, I put us behind UTSA and Rice. Also, FAU is better than a 6&6 team, as they lost several close games last year. Besides SMU, I think they might be the most dangerous home game we have.

Ranking of Most Anticipated Mean Green Football Games

I didn't realize how much I disliked SMU until I went to a North Texas/Mustang basketball game at Moody and saw a sign that said " my maid goes to North Texas". Problem is, she probably did.- 30 replies

On another note, CUSA has 6 teams in bottom 30 while the Sunbelt has only 4, 2 of which are 1aa programs moving up, plus Idaho and NMSU.
-
And the whole story is?
-
I'm looking at road loses to U.T.,Indiana,Rice, and UTSA, with home loses to SMU,LA. Tech., and FAU, and a 6&6 record. This could swing up to 7&5, or down to 5&7. It will be a rebuilding year.

With only 9 returning starters, one of lowest number in nation, what should we realistically expect our won/loss record to be?

With only 9 starters back, what can we realistically expect in won/loss column this season?

Anyone know what the number sold last year was?

For this year’s bowls, it’s C-USA champion’s choice
wardly replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Outside of the HOD, what a piss poor collection of bowls.Makes the New Orleans bowl look good. -
Played golf with Dell Harris today. He agrees that Mitchell is a perimeter player and that Pistons have him in wrong position.
-
Saw T.M. play today in summer league game vs. Houston. Isaiah Thomas was commentator, said that the Pistons were playing him inside, and that he thought his natural position would be on the perimeter.Thoughts?

Back to the stadium, I am sure that the new Houston venue will be 1st class. If memory serves, when we began raising funds for our new stadium we targeted $32 million for a 34,000 seat stadium. By the time we raised the $7million or so necessary to bond out the rest, China was hosting the Olympics and the price of steel and construction materials skyrocketed. As a result, we had to scale back to a 30,000 seat stadium at over twice the price. If we were to build today out stadium might be constructed similar to Houston's as opposed to Allen High School. On another note, I don't know what we accomplish by bashing other universities other that lose their respect.Just an old man's opinion.

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football out — let’s talk expectations

I think we beat SMU at home simply because the game means more to us than to them.I also think that we lose a game that we are favored to win.- 39 replies

I have had several sideline passes over the years for road games, and have heard more filth from students than you can imagine. Not exactly what I would callheckling, although I really don't know what it's definition is in this day and time.

Baylor didn't keep us out of the SW Conference. We just didn't have a sponsor, similar to TCU being left behind when Big 12 was created.

If Texas blocks Houston, then Cincy makes more sense to me than a 2nd tier Florida school.

I just purchased a $399.00 pair of UNT Gameday men's boots on line from Belk for $99.00. Sizes are very limited.
