  1. Gee, with only a few exceptions we have pretty much been a body bag game for SMU.
  2. I want some of what you are smoking.
  3. Agreed, and I wish you guys luck in the ACC. However I am disappointed that you dropped us from your schedule. You still need 3 OOC teams and surely we can bring more fans than Houston Christian.
  4. No one really wants San Jose State. Everything I have seen has the PAC 2 cherry picking the MWC 6 of the schools you mentioned and adding 2 to 4 AAC programs. The most mentioned are UTSA,Rice,Tulane, and Memphis, but not UNT. I personally think that they will pick the 6 from the MWC getting to 8 programs, and see what happens to the ACC. They can always fill in with a few AAC schools later.
  5. Also zero chance of FSU/Clemson getting out of the media rights contract with the ACC. A contracts/patent/trademark attorney was a recent guest on the Big Mountain podcast and after reviewing the media rights contract said that the existing ESPN contract is entirely separate from it and has no bearing on it. He said the AAC media rights contract states that its members relinquish their media rights regardless if they are in the conference or not. In summary he stated that FSU/Clemson are going to have to convince a judge [ the one in N.C, has final say as this is the state in which the original contract was executed] that the ACC put a gun to their heads and forced them to sign a contract that has made 10's of millions of dollars for both schools since its inception.
  6. None of the pundits I have seen include UNT in this scenario but do mention Rice and UTSA.
  7. Well its situated midway between Austin and San Antonio so there is that. My question back to you is what is the appeal of UNT? Most recent football coaches complain that its difficult to recruit here. Finding the answer to that question may be the answer to yours.
  8. Agreed!
  9. I think that our entire season rests on the shoulders of our defense. We should be able to score similar to last year but can we stop anyone?
  10. Who said I could spel?
  11. With the transfer portal and NIL I think its hard to rank recruiting.
  12. I said I was from Arkansas. I am lucky to be able to read and right.
  13. I doubt the P4 scheduling of G6 programs is going away anymore that P6 schools scheduling 1AA teams. A coach still needs to win 6 games and go to some piss ant bowl in order to keep his job.
  14. Hey, I am originally from Arkansas and resent this comment.
  15. Always expect more or you will get less.
  16. Plus we just lost a starting DB transfer from Mississippi for the season with knee injury.
  17. The key to successful liquor sales is distribution. I invested in a now defunct tequila company that had an excellent product but we never could get a strong distributor and didn't make it. Oh well.
  18. I so hope you are right. If so I will call you "Lucky!"
  19. So who is going to win the presidential election in November? Kennedy?
  20. Littrell's last season at UNT our defense was ranked 111 th . Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse it did. Much worse. I know we will be able to score but can we stop anyone? Unless we can I'm looking at a 3 to 5 game win season.
  21. The "C" student being me.
  22. I was referring to myself as the "C" graduate from UNT business school , no one else. Sorry if you thought I implied otherwise.
  23. I stand corrected. Yes the offense did pitch is and lose a game for us. However I still can't believe how we lost the Memphis game. Oh well.
  24. So the " BIG MOUNTAIN " podcast today had a contracts, patent, and trade mark attorney on today who discussed the FSU/ Clemson lawsuits against the ACC . There are 3 courts that the ligating parties have filled in, North Carolina , Florida, and South Carolina. The two suits filed out of North Carolina were allowed to proceed because both judges are concerned about their states domain [ think I got that right] rather that the actual question regarding each schools who signed the media rights contract, which is separate from the ESPN agreement . The rights agreement was signed and executed in North Carolina which this attorney said should hold precedence over the other two states. It states that each school assigned its media rights to the AAC for the duration of this contract regardless if they left the conference. The ESPN contract is just that, a media contract for a certain amount of money for a defined length of time .This is a separate contract and has nothing to do with the ACC media rights contract with its members other than the contract is with the ACC and not its individual members. The attorney went on to say that it is usual for contracts regarding patents and trade marks to be 20 or 30 years in length so this should not be an issue. My takeaway is that FSU/Clemson are going to have to prove that the ACC put a gun to their heads and made them sign a contract that has produced hundreds of million dollars for them and the conference, which is the only question that needs to be addressed. This attorney was really good and spoke in terms that even a "C" graduate from the NTSU business school could understand.
  25. Agreed. Our defense gave away both the Navy and Memphis games. We could of easily been 7 & 5.
