In my opinion UNT is just a 1/2 a step behind Tulane and Memphis, and probably Army. However I think Morris will light it up against the Black Knights and if we can get just a little help from our defense we have a decent chance to win. Of course I voted for Harris so what do I know.

I'm not smart enough to figure out if this is good or bad. I doesn't look good but" I know nothing".

UTA is playing UNT Dallas instead of UNT Denton.

Saturday we host Army, who is an undefeated top 20 team. I don't remember us hosting a team ranked this highly before, the weather is predicted to be sunny in low 70's, and we have no reason other than apathy not to fill the stadium.

I really think we can beat Army if their starting QB doesn't play.If he does itmight be a different story. No rain would help us as well.

If he is able to play he will.If he is and they don't its because Army thinks they don't need him to beat us, which they do.

I can only assume that our history of attendance pushed UNT to the top.

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but why is not TCU hosting this event? Anyone have a clue? I mean we play no men's sporting events in Ft. Worth that I am aware of.

I'm pretty sure Texas reimbursed us the $100,000 which was part of her contract with us.

And it still works. I saw a team last week that ran a few QB running plays that looked exactly like the old " single wing."

I don't know but doubt it. We did pay one of the North Carolina schools $100,000 to buy Karen Ashton out of her contract.She stayed at UNT one year before getting the top job at Texas. Ashton was fired mainly because she couldn't get past Baylor. She has been at UTSA the last few years.

As I said before UNT didn't have the $500,000 needed to fire him.

In all reality Benford was an interim coach. He was a really nice guy but over his head.

UNT didn't have the money to buy Benford out. If Seth had beaten UTSA the second time that season he could still be here.It's easy to fire someone when you are not the one doing it.

For us its usually the offense that give us the best chance of winning. However everyone agrees that our defense is suspect so when the offense gives our opponent two td's on turnovers they become a liability as well.

Guys, if we don't turn the ball over twice in our territory and give they 14 points the game might of had a different outcome.

Usually they say any publicity is good publicity but this certainly wasn't. I don't know why the announcer felt the need to drag our name into the conversation.

If memory serves, when we scored and our player made a eagle claw sign with his hand in celebration we got flagged for taunting which set up several short drives by Navy.

Army can really run the ball. We can't stop the run. We will win our last 3 games to go 8 & 4 and hopefully go somewhere other than Frisco and Albuquerque. I have been to all our Frisco bowl games and wouldn't go to another one if there was a gun to my head. Ditto to the New Mexico Bowl although I did find a great hole in the wall Mexican food restaurant close to Lobo Stadium that was sandwiched a liqueur store and a pawn shop. I suggest you be packing.

Our 3 loses YTD are all against better teams. And yes, Army is a better team and will probably beat us as well. There is no shame in losing to teams that are bigger, stronger, and faster that we are. I fully expect us to beat ECU,UTSA, and Temple and finish 8&4, which is not too shabby for a UNT team that was picked 9th in the conference preseason.

Actually it was. We just got beat by a better team. It happens. I am most disappointed in the low turnout of fans. We had 27,000 opening game against Wyoming but only 23,00 against Tulane at homecoming. Whats wrong with this picture?
