  1. Even coming off the year we had last year, at least we had the win over MTSU. Now we don't have that! We made MTSU look like all-americans today. I was a little surprised that we started the game by passing the ball and was rather encouraged, even after the fumble. I was hoping it was an ill timed error and there were even a few opportunities that Woody over or under threw to open recievers. But Dickey and team did not disappoint and went back to thier old ways of running the draw on third and long. I couldn't stick around to see the end of the game, I left with 6 minutes to go. My BP couldn;t take it. Has anyone else noticed, that Rose snaps the ball low 2/3's of the time when playing out of the shotgun? Why hasn't this been corrected? I guess you can say the same about so many other things..never mind. I believe the players have lost faith in thier coach(s), a change needs to be made at some point this year.
  2. Is that every day, year, 5 years? And I could only assume that it was 150000 illegal immigrants. So how did they come up with that number. It not like they take a census at some check point of everyone who crossess illegally. How do they sperate mexicans and non-mexicans without asking them, and as you said they do "favor" latino's. This number can be totally overinflated or even be underestimated. Also, 150000 non mexicans could mean asian, dominican, cuban, french, german, etc. I seriously doubt that those are 150000 muslim extremists that have come through. I'm not trying to say that the number isn't alarming and that border security is not a concern, 1 extremists is one too many, but i just get tired of politicians throwing out numbers and then putting thier own spin on it for thier own profit.
  3. If there is any doubt, he needs to sit out the UT game and hopefully be ready by the SMU game. Although, you got love this kid for his determination to play no matter what. You may have to tie him down to the bench to make sure he heals fully otherwise he may just sneak into the huddle.
  4. I just hope there are no broken bones.
  5. I second that!!!!!!!!!Run baby run!!!!!!!!!!
  6. What a great run and good blocking for him to take it into the nedzone. I can't get that smile off of my face. I'm am really happy for him. I normally cant stand the Patriots but I might cheer if they give Cobbs a chance. He got quite a bit of air time and a few mentions of UNT. Way to go Patrick!!!!
  7. Does anyone know how we compare to the rest of the Texas universities in regards to the number of dorms, specifically number of available rooms?
  8. No way. I think you went above and beyond by even taking your plate to the sink, much less rinsing them off! Stand your ground! Whoa, gotta go I hear my wife coming up the stairs!
  9. Welcome to you and your brother..look forward to a great season!
  10. Not sure if this has been posted yet.... Brad McDonnell Issue date: 6/22/06 Section: SPORTS Mean Green running back Jamario Thomas, recently named to the Maxwell Award watch list, is among several of the nation's rushers entering their junior year who are looking to recapture the success they enjoyed as freshmen. [Click to enlarge] A sub-par, injury-riddled 2005 season did not keep Jamario Thomas off his second-straight Maxwell Award watch list. The NT running back was among 60 Division-1A football players named to the list on June 13. The Maxwell Award is given to the college Player of the Year, similar to an MVP award in professional sports. Thomas appeared in only eight games for the Mean Green last season after prolonged injuries, combined with a bulk of the playing time being given to former NT running back Patrick Cobbs, hampered a repeat of a successful freshman season. Thomas rushed for only 285 yards in 2005, nearly one-fifth of his production as a freshman in 2004 when the tailback totaled 1,801 rushing yards and led the nation with 180.1 yards per game. The 21-year-old junior joins 22 other tailbacks (21 RB, 1 FB) on the list, 10 of which are juniors. The 2004 season featured an array of standout performances from freshman running backs, including Oklahoma's Adrian Peterson and Michigan's Michael Hart. Both players also made the watch list. Peterson and Hart, along with Thomas, ranked among the top-10 in rushing yards as freshmen. However, their sophomore seasons were not on the same level as all three players suffered various setbacks. Peterson was slowed by an ankle injury, while Hart nursed a bothered hamstring. The three runners appear to be on track for the upcoming 2006 season, and, health permitting, will be the focal points of their teams' offense. The Mean Green will turn to Thomas to continue a lengthy stretch of success at the position. NT has produced a 1,000-yard rusher in each of the past five seasons. Cobbs ran for 1,158 yards last year and 1,680 yards in 2003. Kevin Galbreath had consecutive 1,000-yard seasons for the Mean Green in 2001 and 2002.
  11. yo9u and your wife are in our prayers. I do hope you get the miracle that you may need.
  12. Wow! From the the pictures, the place looks pretty darn good.
  13. Good luck to Cobbs
  14. Sorry guys but I have to disagree with all of you when it comes to fajitas. You can have the best fajitas in the world in your back yard. Try going to the "La Michoacana" and buy already marinated fajita meat and grill it at home. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. La Michoacana stores are small Latino grocery stores with a butcher shop inside of them. There are 14 of them in Dallas, you can google it for the closest one to you. I've bought the meat and several locations they seem to all be the same. I have to warn you, once you have these anything else will be a dissapointment.
  15. I got an email froom him too...do mean that this is not real!???
