  1. And the Offense was not that good either, lots of yards, poor running game, too many turnovers, Vizza leads the nation in INT. So you are correct a good offense would help the defense. I would like to know what our pts per yard average is compared to other teams. This would tell us how effecient we are in scoring, but take out defensive/special team scores, blocked punt, INT, fumble recovery for TD's. Another need is consistancy in the play from game to game.
  2. You must be a BIG OU FAN, all your information and quotes are OU based.
  3. I agree 100%
  4. Only 19 offensive pts on FIU, that is just as bad as the special teams and defense
  5. I look at the Navy game and think of all the offense UNT scored and wonder if the Navy DC was thinking, "How can this team score 62 pts on us?"
  6. I agree, Defense was big tonight, so were the special teams, to help the Offense and Defense. Special Teams directly affected 14 pts with a blocked punt for 7pts and kickoff fumble recovery to help the Offense score 7pts to open the 2nd half.
  7. Look at the history, 3 yrs in a row, lose to SLC, not exactly fall apart. One year was State Semi-Final.
  8. Blame should be placed on all three sides of the ball, offense, defense, and special teams. Offense - only 17 pts on 360 yds, 10 pts are directly the responsibility of the defense and special teams. 160 yds passing, 220 rushing, that has not been the ratio this season. But we controled the time of posession, a theme for most of the year. Special Teams - blocked field goal and blocked punt, but missed field goal that could have changed the mental, strategic attitude, and clock management on the last drive. Kickoffs were short all night, allowing good field position. Defense - bending but not breaking and allowing 7 pts in the first half. Contained the run but could not contain the pass, the run was suppose to be ASU's strength. We get burned on passing and give up over 480 yds. So your statement of NO BLAME AT ALL ON THE OFFENSE is inaccurate.
  9. I agree, look at the stats, only 160 yds passing, 220 yds rushing. When did we have that many yds rushing this season? TD made adjustments and took what the defense was giving.
  10. It is obvious you are not intelligent enough to understand sarcastic undertones and can only resort to name calling.
  11. I was able to get inside info from some ASU OL and he said that the Defense was much better than they expected based upon stats and film. They were very surprised about their speed.
  12. I second that, Shutter, the most educated, well thought out idea of the evening.
  13. Usually, but tonight it was not Open at all, 120 yds passing, but against a good secondary and 50th ranked defense.
  14. That is dumb as well
  15. About as dumb as firing Mendoza for tonights performance
