I feel that we have adequately hashed out our opinions and that it offered me sweet salvation from watching the train wreck of our full team vs their backups. And for that, I thank you.

And for the record, I really hope you are right Andrew. But my head says something so much different. I would love love love to say you were right at the end of the season. I just don't see it. Especially when we are rolling out practically a brand new team this year... And practically a brand new team next year. It looks bleak and I long for yesteryear.

Honestly Andrew, if you don't think JJ did anything worth much, you must be livid with Benford. Unless, you have huge biased glasses. Like the fashion ones. The really big ones that the girls wear that make them look like their basically wearing wire frame ski goggles.

We wouldn't have been able to beat any of those teams with our Benford teams. We beat teams that we needed to beat. Can we say that for Benford? His very first game seems to say otherwise.

I not only watched the games. I lived with the players.i know you love to discredit JJ and bolster Benford and have been since his hire... But you have been wrong each season. We beat a lot of bad teams during JJ's time. And we actually beat the teams. Like beat beat them. And We did beat some good teams during that four year stretch and we played much better than the product we are putting out there right now. Conference USA bb hasn't been any more difficult than sun belt ball.

If they are correct, then conference usa is a bad conference. I enjoy arguing with you than watching this game.

Are you really going to argue that whether we are good 5 years ago? We proved it a few years in a row that we were good at then. What have we seen that shows us we are worth a damn. 5 years ago we beat teams that weren't just the Cameron's. What about the past few years? This team isn't going to be much different.

Please don't quote me that record. Playing four Nichols State teams early doesn't mean much. I can say we are a bad team because... We are.

Coaches don't just miraculously become good coaches when you see what we have. Benford just don't got it.

Your basketball bias is funny considering your views on football. This season was over before TJ's knee. We are a bad team. simply just a bad team. Just look right now... We are losing against a team that is primarily playing their backups.

It is about several factors. 1. Giving us the best opportunity for a quality win- which we all know increases when it is at home. Is it not interesting to you that our big OOC wins in Mac's tenure have ALL been at home- Indiana, Ball State, SMU. 2. It is about bringing in better name opponents into our stadium... you know, the new stadium in which we were promised more high profile teams to come in since it was said over and over again by RV that it was the stadium that's the problem. 3. It is about giving us a schedule that is balanced with a 6 and 6 schedule... every year. 5. it is about creating a greater entertainment value... let's face it, wins from nichols or texas southern won't light a fire under the fanbase. But, consistent winning from our fellow benchmarks will. 4. It is about focusing on elevating this program to be a success in and of itself... not to be the sole focus of providing welfare for all of the programs. Which, interestingly enough, if you make the focus correct, you will likely take care of the welfare component. Those were just a few off the top of my head....

SFA is good this year. We will not win that one.

I can understand UNT90's issue.... This is a problem. A big problem and it is one of many reasons we have the odds stacked against us. The problem is, we already have to fight big odds from outside factors.... lets not make it worse from the inside.... but, it is too late for that. But, I don't know if RV even sees that he is doing something wrong. And, that might be the saddest thing of all....

I hope that Coach Mac didn't miss his opportunity and no longer has any momentum.... But, i fear that is the case.

I hope you are right... i think we know what we will get with what we already showed this year.

You could be right... I just don't know if he was ever healthy. We never saw a real long ball, if he was ever capable. I liked Riley... I don't think we ever saw the Riley he could have been.. But, then again, I am not sure his size would have ever had allowed it.

Central Florida? Marshall? Bowling Green? Northern Illinois? Tulsa up to a two years ago. Southern Miss up to three years ago? BYU? East Carolina? Houston? Rice in the last 5 years? Colorado State had some awesome years there. Cincinnati? Toledo had some good years? TCU before they went to the big 12? Hell, NDSU reloads better than us consistently. I feel there are plenty of schools that seem to reload regularly.

Can i be honest.. I almost wish it was an effort/heart issue as that seems to be the easiest to correct. What I am hearing is that they gave it their all... they gave everything and it simply was not even close to enough. That doesn't give me any hope for the future.

ok.. so if we are going to begin going the route of 1 big money game and 1 small nothing school every year.... then that we would likely only net what $300,000? Maybe.... I feel like a good solid home and home schedule would cover that and then some because you actually increase your chances of beating an equal or greater than school which will build us an actual program. the debbie downer in me says we will go 4-8 next year.

I am confused by this post... so did you hear of changes or did you not?

We can't recruit so outlook is doubtful
