I was on campus for both. The first as a student, the second as a staff member. I was involved with both quite a bit. While you are right that the language was written in a favorable way the second time. The athletic department remained mum on it and for a good reason too. There was a 'stealth' campaign because that was the only way they could do it. This thing didn't pass by a super over-whelming margin though it did get one of the largest voter turnouts at the time. There was nothing guaranteed in that vote and we were lucky to pull it out. The credit does not go to RV for that funding... of which, none of it would have happened.

RV wasn't able to pull the stadium off. The students led by a certain fan really got that movement going. Hell, he couldn't convince the student body the first time around when we were actually winning. Furthermore, I recall RV being rather dishonest about bringing in high-profile concerts in the stadium for the students as a thank you. We are still waiting on that... Unless, if he thinks that the crap concerts that were done after a spring football game once or twice is fulfilling that then I don't know what to tell ya. Looking back, I think the students should have used a little more bargaining power for what they were going to get out of the deal.

I don't recall Cyril having any other FBS offers.

I vote for Dave Barnett. 1. because he is great. And, I don't think there would be a drop off at all from the Great Georgie to Dave. And, 2. because I kinda want to see another wheels off moment.

I think he should get in.... I am one of those that wasn't super overly impressed- "I miss DT" type of guy. But, I think he deserves to be in. I think that means I think our standard of a good UNT QB hasn't been all that great in our 100+ years of play too. We aren't talking about NCAA Football Hall of Fame... we are talking UNT Hall of Fame.

I would also add certain multi-vitamins, fish oil, and vitamin D should be a regular part of the supplement package. I agree about creatine and proteins like Whey.

From my experience, those guys on that particular team were among the best I dealt with. Sure they made some dumb decisions from time to time, but overall they were probably the best group.

I see he is going the same path as Craig... in taking a year off and then becoming the eventual starter.

He never got along with the team at UNT. And he seemed to have an apathetic attitude here.
