Missed the game. Glad we got the win. I am pretty sure it was a typical hedlund style game, however. I hope we actually get a tournament win this time. We are play low-percentage ball to do it (which is why we never won one before)... but I am saying we still have a chance! When will we find out who we play?

Yeah. It is just a bunch of kickball. 😞 it is low percentage play that is akin to going for the long ball every time. Drives me nuts. Simple possession would have destroyed a team like la tech.

I’d love to see a real possession based play just once from a UNT team.

You are right. They aren't. But to question the direction this is going or whether our coach is 'elite' enough reeks of a kind of superiority that we shouldn't have. We just end up coming across as a bunch of assholes that can't see the forest for the trees.

Posts like these drive me nuts. So far, what he has done here has been quite ‘elite’. I am loving this guy and what he is doing here. We all seem to forget where we have been and who we have been with. SL is amazing for us and I can’t think of another who could have done better. I hope this guy sticks with us for a very long time. He is a fantastic coach for us. We have consistently had something to play for in late October the past few years and were even flirting with a possible undefeated season halfway through. I am very much ok with that. I have closely followed this team for the better part of 20 years and some others twice as long. I don’t forget how bad we were and that we are light years from that. No way I am gonna get greedy now.

I don’t understand how that play where we stripped the ball on the two wasn’t reviewed. It seemed to me at worst it was an incomplete pass because he didn’t have the ball all the way through and at best it was a stripped ball for us. But certainly not a catch for them that led to a TD.

Frustrating. No doubt. But I am so glad we are where we are these days. I don’t miss the Mac, dodge, or late Dickey years. This is a lot of fun. And near heart stopping too.
