  1. Apparently If the narrative that Wren will never fire someone mid season like most others do is true then we will always be in this predicament each year. So the blame of being in this position falls squarely on Wren and should be a major talking point that Wren effed up.
  2. I also think he gets next year. But I don’t want him to. I guess what I am asking you (and the others who flipped) is do you still want him back like you did after UTSA?
  3. Honest question… what makes you believe he can turn it around? What makes you think he gives us the best chance for success? I will hang up and listen.
  4. You are just being silly. We here at unt prefer our coach to go in a backwards trajectory with their wins (2-1 winning record season in first three vs 0-3 winning record in last three).
  5. I am curious about those like @emmitt01and others who seemed to have changed their minds and wanted to keep SL after UTSA… have you guys flipped back? Love to know the aftermath of a game like this.
  6. I am honestly not sure Wren has the balls to make the right call and let him go.
  7. I think the same.
  8. I too like to spike the ball with the game on the line. I am UNT QB material.
  9. I got the strong feeling most people were after UTSA. The theme I gathered quite clearly is that he earned himself another year. Most that were against him changed opinions. It seemed those still wanting him gone were more of a minority. I think simply looking at the likes versus dislikes of such posts speak to that as well.
  10. Congrats to Former UNT great Michelle Leonard for becoming the new head coach at Baylor. She has had an amazing track record at DBU for the past 14 seasons. She was the one I wanted as the replacement for Hedlund when he rides off into the sunset. I am extremely happy for her both as a great soccer player and coach as well as a friend. She was with us in the early 2000’s and helped solidify what has made Hedlund so successful.
  11. Will the replacement bring us Dr Peppers?
  12. I like your optimism but I’d have to disagree. I think our passing attack (while improved with much being a weaker part of the schedule) at the end… I would say our passing attack was bad. i would also say we do not have excellent receivers. Way way way too many dropped balls (when they were finally on target) for them to be considered excellent. I hope for good things next year, especially in the improvement of the passing game which largely held us back.
  13. Did for our neighbors. We already have a crowded QB stable. If we are going to get a portal transfer then it needs to be something of the same caliber it was from our neighbors. This isn’t one of them. Again, it was never about just getting a transfer… it was about getting one that elevates us. I don’t think this one does. And if I am correct, then we are gonna be in a similar position this next year as we were this one. That isn’t good.
  14. I too like to use logical fallacies to make an argument against a non-existent premise that no one made at all. Obviously the clear assumption on getting a transfer in the portal is getting a ‘good’ one. Not just getting any transfer. It seems most would understand that simple and very vital assumption.
  15. Expecting better at the QB spot if we are gonna take transfers. Not this. Disappointing.
  16. So Novil is not coming back next year? Quitter.
  17. I truly hate when you mother effers do crap titles like this. You can burn in hell for what you have just done! BURN!
  18. In year 6 of SL we shouldn’t be excited to maybe possibly hit 6 and that it is his best year in the last 3 with it. His body of work simply says he isn’t a good coach worth what he is paid. And if he is retained, the lucky bastard actually gets a raise for this mess.
  19. All of this is gold
  20. That’s like getting all 5 sharks on shark tank. I am impressed. Btw, I am with you jimmy.
  21. We could win out and I wouldn’t want SL back.
  22. Oh so that’s what it looks like for a QB to hit a receiver.
  23. I said it early in the season and was down voted a bunch but names on the back are important and I do t know why they went away the past several years. I believe it started the year after Fine left.
  24. Things are looking greener in this pasture
