  1. i would agree with that. Except put Tech above aTm. and i , maybe, baylor above TCU.
  2. Rick, I would buy a flag from you. If you do this... I AM IN!
  3. look for Jamel Branch going 1st round... likely a top 6 pick. just kidding
  4. WHOA!!! why? this is shocking.... i didn't see this coming at all.
  5. Japan has football there NOW?! my father lived in Tokyo during his high school years on Niramasu, a military base. He played football there during the late 50's early 60's... he played the college teams of Japan. The american high school boys were about, on average, the same size as their college guys. Anywho, football has been going on there for awhile.
  6. i love the eagle screech... and since i have a little pull in the department.... it stays. you have been voted off the island
  7. thomas, raymond, and pruitt will get things done at that position. and take that to the bank!
  8. if you are a mean green club member.... aren't you in the North Texas Exes with that donation?
  9. the media guide and the fan guide are two different things right!?! just need some clarification on this... so, you are saying that the MEDIA guide is now out.... ??
  10. what positions did they lose to grades?
  11. I am glad there was no mention of TJ Raymond or Lineberry. hopefully they made the grade as well.
  12. I am a big fan of the Palomino restaurant next to the Crescent Hotel. Nice little plaza outside of it.
  13. FFR- so true... we have had a fun ride for the past 4 years. I just dont know how much longer it will last. We have too many question marks for this season and no experience in key areas. I argue that we were fortunate to come out on top last year. Honestly, i didn't think we would do it... but, "thank God for Jamario." Our defense was really bad last season... and that was with an experienced line and secondary.... all of that is gone now save Covington. This year was suppose to be Andrew Smith's exclamation point to his career to UNT. With so many lossed through grad and what-not.... i just hope things can come together for this season. I dont know how well our offense will do with those we will lose to academics. We lossed a few on the O-line... and maybe one or two more from grades if they don't get things done in the summer.
  14. I know that our athletic department may not be the best when it comes to getting information out into the public for season tickets and finding easier/convenient methods for the outsiders to join the program.... but, They are getting alot done. Seeing all of the facility upgrades and new projects has been something sorely needed. this has been something we have been unable to do. I am glad that this department has been successful in all of this so far. I look forward to reaching our ultimate goal of a new stadium.
  15. The athletic department is allowed to tell the people that he isn't going to be with the team the next year for "personal and/or academic issues". The privacy act wont be intruded upon by just citing whether the player will be with the team the up coming season. All schools announce who wont be returning.
  16. I am a recent grad at unt... and i would love nothing more than to sit behind the students in the student section. is that no longer possible!!?!!?! My father also enjoyed that area and i was hoping i could buy season tickets there. Is that a no go now!?
  17. I hope that TJ raymond "the big cat" made the grade to be on the field come fall. i hear he had one hell of a spring. and i thought I heard that lineberry was having some grade trouble but getting it done in the summer? is that right?! if so... how is that going?!
  18. I remember from the moment of signing day i told a high school player of Battle's that it was a horrible decision to go to TCU. I knew it would be hard to get by Ty Gunn... Along with Harrell and its hard to beat them two out. Battle is a solid dual threat quarterback and I would love to have him on this team. I don't know if all that weight on him now is all muscle... but, i remember when he went off to college and started putting on all of that weight, it was all muscle and he was huge. I think there was even talks of wanting to see him at linebacker at one point. he seemed to have the size. but i dont know how much truth there was to all that. I still think Battle to be a great quarterback that just didn't work out at TCU. i am sure he would have made some noise here.
  19. its disappointing that an athlete can't even maintain a friggin' 1.7 GPA in order to play. Thats pathetic. I would think that being starter is motivation enough to get the job done in the classroom.
  20. Alot of family problems and difficulties. The head owner, my grandfather, had severe heart problems and my grandmother wanted to tend to him. That, and a few other problems within the family, led to the restaurant really being led by just my aunt. And she really couldn't keep that burden on her shoulders alone. But, let me tell you... the money.... was good. We were planning on chaining the biz.... but now i think back on it... and my whole entire youth and all the socialness that comes with it would have been shot down because i would have been too tied to the restaurant.
  21. WOW!!! i can't believe you guys remember the CLAY POT!!!! that was my family's owned restaurant. My grandparents and uncles/aunts created the place. Randy White used to fly in regularly in his chopper and land in the back. He was one of our regulars. that was always fun to see him come in. I would work often, usually every weekend and fridays. I loved that place. It was big. The food was great... Especially on sundays... not to mention the T-bones were excellent in my opinion. I miss the place.. believe it or not my cousin and i were playing around with the idea of bringing the claypot back to business
  22. I just wonder if the freakin' game will have our fight song in it
  23. yes, they have a good quarterback... but they also lost their primary reciever
  24. Speaking of.... Is there by chance that the LSU game could be picked up by ESPN plus?!?! I definitely don't want a beating that Texas gave us last year. A nice showing and a good performance will be just fine in my eyes for the LSU game. For me, i really care about the Tulsa and la tech games more than the other two OOC. That second week is definitely more important... but hey, why dont we go out there and win both of 'em eh?
  25. I thought they were going to make a Reciever out of Ieans because of his hieght and jumping ability...
