Talking to a WR the year we moved into SBC he said, "thank God we are going into the SBC. It is much easier and we have a chance to win this thing now that we are gone from the BWC." At least in the mind of this individual he thought the SBC was a step down in competition. Plus, it seems that way anyhow.

Philosophy about to begin grad school... Th.M. Theology masters

I was a philosophy major.... First day of my Existentialism class... The professor, whom i have taken before and knows my opinions on certain things, walked in to class looked around and stopped for a second when he saw me and a close friend of mine (whom he also knows his views). He then said to the whole class while looking at us, "There are a few people in this class that I encourage not to be here. Some people may not be able to handle the things discussed because of their prior views. You need to drop this course and add another." needless to say, i didn't drop the class and I finished with a B in the course. My friend finished with an A. Man, he didn't like our opinions.

Yeah, i played football in middle school with him. He was in my class.

From stories i have heard... DD has always shot straight with his potential recruits. DD is probably right. If this guy has it... then the bigger schools will come calling.

Exactly.. it isn't youth. It is our coaching style/philosophy. We need to change this. People have us figured out. We will only beat those that are worse than us... never on par. We must change up our style...

But he is right... i have never seen such bad play coming from our O-line than i have this season. There is absolutely no time for meager to do anything back there.

If it is a blow out.. then it is a blow out... might as well start trying new things and seeing what happens. If it is a blow out... then there isn't really much pressure to do good. This whole "damage the qb's moral" crap doesn't make much sense. These "kids" are becoming adults. They shouldn't be seen as something so frail. Again, the game is already a loss. Might as well see if there is anything else in our arsenal as the game goes on. No pressure, and not much more harm than what has already happened.

You tell me why anyone is going to jump on a losing bandwagon. Support for our programs will not grow until the masses see success and progression. I can't blame others for their disinterest in this program.

That is the problem. There is no progression. We aren't content in just winning the conference anymore. Especially when the conference is the worst in America. And in the perception of many, worse than some D-1AA conferences. We should be doing better than this. Dickey has complained year in and out that we do so bad because of our competition. Well, now RV has changed the schedule to find some schools on par with us and more winnable.... (la tech, smu, tulsa) Something has got to give be it the coaches themselves or their philosophy and schemes. Changes must be made.

yes, we needed a juco qb more than anything. But, with our system... no one would be in their right mind to hop on board DD's system.

well, if they end up going. i hope they represent us better at the bowl than we have.
