Yes, and yet... we continue to support him. Our athletic program is ok with mediocrity it appears. If it were otherwise then changes would be made. At the very least put a muzzle on the coach since he is the biggest debbie downer and quite the depressor when I hear him speak of UNT or how we will compare with our opponents (especially the texas' of the world).

I would be a sad sad camper if Dickey were to keep his job after a record like that. I seriously doubt i could continue supporting a program that allows for a sub-par performance coach to stay year after year that produces anything close to what we went through last season

I would say thats about right. They deserve this lack of respect and credibility that they are given. Last year was pathetic and it was no big 12 conference we were in. Here is to hoping they are wrong... that I am wrong.

I am with you silver. i am in a believe it when I see it. And I put my money on not seeing it. I wouldn't put my money on seeing much of anything this year.

They vote against themselves more than they vote for themselves. If that was the case... then every team would have one first place vote.

I don't think unt is no where near a better team on paper than the '04 team was. I can't imagine anyone discussing the maybes with the team we fielded last year. My resolve is to be in a wait and see mode. I get the feeling i might be waiting a while.

Evan Robertson impressed me during two-a-days. He is fast. I wonder if he can hold up with his small size though. His size makes me question his durability.

I would love to see us bounce back like TCU did a few years back when they only won 4 games in one season and 10 or 11 the next. A part of me is clinging on to that hope. The other, however, is a bit pessimistic and doesn't see it happening. I haven't seen anybody last year taking command of this team... And the criticism i heard of a few players that graduated last season of the coaching staff only adds to my doubts.

Those who stay up with the goings on of the group we are in and our current state would say you aren't too off base with that comment. I wouldn't be shocked if we got first in the group.... then again, i wouldn't be surprised if we got third either. Disappointed definitely, but not shocked.

How could anybody feel worthwhile devoting so much time and energy into something they don't believe in?! Or, to sell a product that they don't even value. Seems all so pointless and vain...

meangreen61.... though it is nice to hear we did well against them and other spring competition, UNTbowler is right. the spring is meaningless and when it mattered most, we fell short. And we fell short bad... wasn't the score like 3-0?! that is a beating in soccer. But, we have next year to look forward to and we are returning all the starters which is very nice to hear. Lets make it to the tourny again and this time lets win a post-season game.
