I agree putting vizza there was best for the program. But, I fail to understand why Dodge saying what he did in the spring makes it any less powerful (or that he didn't mean it as much) than if it was said it in the fall. I believe I recall him reiterating his philosophy either on the MG Insider and/or after one of the first few games during the fall season that he doesn't want Meager to look over his shoulder. Whether it was politics or giving the public what they wanted... he did give his word that there would be one go-to guy as QB. He went against that because as I see it... It is better for a freshman to make freshman mistakes than a junior making freshman mistakes. I agree with putting vizza in charge in mid-season... He might have told the team something different, but I can't blame Rick or anyone else for going on the information that TD said to us.

I have heard a lot of players say Roberson is the best reciever on the team.

I remember doing a lot of finger crossing when it was Nick Balzadua's first year. It felt a lot like last year to me.

the realist in me will take 6-6 for next season. that is my prediction with a give or take a game in there. at best 7-5... at worst 5-7. anything less than 5 wins is a huge disappointment.

that is good to hear. i wasn't impressed so much back in '06 when I was last there. the place does have better sight lines... I do want to schedule more home and homes with la tech because of proximity... just a little over a 3 hour drive...

I like how you throw in a stadium in there from shreveport in addition to the others in ruston to make it look like that is what the stadium looks like on the outside. Stadium experience sucked at la tech... and unt's was better. Their concessions, ticket booths, bathrooms, scoreboard, facilities, locker room, etc.. was weaker. It ifeels just like a tin can. I didn't like it and i thought fouts game-day experience was better.

I have been there and it made me thankful for fouts. Better sightlines... maybe... but that is all it has. i think if you were there you would agree with me.

Apparently you have never been to Ruston... I can assure you our stadium is better than La Tech's.

I liked Bliel. I thought it was (obviously now) a bad idea to get rid of him in favor of Mendoza. I thought he was getting our D back on the upswing. I hope the best for him.

I think it was '01... maybe '02. We had a home and home with them... the first we lost 19-5 and the second we lost like 10-13. Something like that. they have been really close games.

One thing I have given RV credit for is establishing more regional non-bcs teams like Tulsa, SMU, Baylor, Rice, La Tech... Bringing in our military academies is great too! I would like to see us work something up with UTEP, NMSU, Tulane, Houston, Southern Miss, Tech, and TCU as well. More Baylor please!

This is great news. I hope we extend to 8 games with smu only because it is so easy to watch the home and away games.

i am happy that ulm did this. if la tech goes public about being an arrogant ass then ulm should tell 'em to shove it.

Looking at that... plus the likes of Ross and a few others (and an proven, experienced D- Coordinator) I think our defense will be light years ahead of what it was last year. I suppose that isn't saying too much since a little improvement would look like it is huge step compared to last year. I just want to see us be competitive defensively and I think we have the tools to do that. Health is THE key factor.
