  1. Tulsa picked apart our zone coverage.
  2. great blog
  3. I don't get cameron and houston baptist. i would be angry if our football team was playing D-III teams. That is pretty much the same.
  4. Have you guys seen the latest Pepsi commercial with Tony Romo where he is twice as big as everyone else. Man I think that is hilarious!
  5. Again, the game wouldn't exist without the fans. The players wouldn't have full rides with out those who support the damn place. They do owe what they do to everyone involved. The players, coaches, athletic officials. EVERYONE! And this goes for college, pro, high school... if there wasn't interest in the damn thing then it wouldn't exist. If they lose that perspective then they take things for granted and that is just sorry... And the only schools that you have "good" fans are the schools that are winning. It is easy to have the fans that you are talking about when things go their way. The fans at UNT are no different than any other group.
  6. the game wouldn't exist without the fans. I think any sports club OWES the fans. Dodge or any coach wouldn't get paid if it wasn't for fans.
  7. Do any of you guys think it odd that UNT athletics have raised prices on the tickets? Practically every sports program raise ticket prices based on the quality/success that is on the field. Student Guest prices were up 5 dollars more than last year and I laughed because they are raising them at a time we suck the most. It doesn't seem like good bizz.
  8. He is 38 right?
  9. That was some kind of kick off return flop he had. Consider that the longest on-side kick EVAR! He did well running and has some kind of wheels.
  10. I seriously hope no one is stupid enough to want Dickey back. Maybe a balance of the dodge and dd... but, you truly want this program to fail if you want dd.
  11. I second this.
  12. I blame the damn drum line and whoever is in charge of that group.
  13. agreed.
  14. I appreciate you disagreeing respectfully. I think there needs more of that on this board. but it was already 28-7. and we weren't moving the ball well at all. I don't think the turnovers had any significant impact on the game other than adding an extra td.
  15. the turnovers didn't kill us. we were already out of it before we started turning it over.
  16. that is the only stat i care about.
  17. I was hoping for 6 wins this season. I honestly don't even know if we can win more than 2. FIU and maybe WKU or UL-La. I have seen absolutely nothing that indicates otherwise.
  18. Yes, you are right... at least we have won a game this season. And, at least we covered the spread. And, we held Tulsa under 550 total yards. And at least we haven't been blown out since the season began. And we won the turnover margin. And our special teams improved from week 1. Oh wait... we did none of this. How can you say things could be worse. I think this is pretty rock bottom.
  19. yeah, we really suck.
  20. There is nothing like a big flop in front of a large student crowd in which this year has a huge significance because of the vote. It doesn't help when we are so crappy.
  21. Ah, the "your mom" joke... those never get old. Never.
  22. My thoughts... It was a great, exciting game. I loved how we pulled it off from being behind 1-2 at half. We owned the second half and looked very good in the process. In the past Hedlund (at least when Marin was here) liked the long-ball game. I much prefer a possession game. I wish there was alittle more balance in the game because I thought the long ball was used too much tonight. Sometimes it looked like it just turned into a kickball game. But, Oklahoma liked to push the long ball as well. I also thought that our team passed it too much while in our offensive third. There were times when we should have challenged the keeper (18-20 yards in front of the goal) and instead we passed it off to another team-mate. Not a bad idea sometimes but if you have the shot you need to take it. I only say this because I thought the score should have been 4-1 UNT. We definitely looked like the better team and I thought it was a few of our follies (both on offense and defense) that kept OU in it. This is looking like it could be yet another great year for our team. By the way, those last two goals were simply beautiful. Whoever hit those i give some serious kudos too.

  24. I don't argue anything that you say. And I hope we improve this week just like we did last year from game 1 to 2. The thing that bugs me is how poor our offense was considering who all was returning. That is my only issue. I would expect us to do better than we did. Our kind of ball we play now demands our offense to do move chains and score as oppose to DD style of clock control.
