  1. YES reopen it! I like the idea of having a BS forum too. and I want one for Taco Bueno. Because they have great Tacos, burritos and frozen lemonades.
  2. 2-1
  3. So, when will we actually have a functioning dart system in Denton?
  4. My thoughts are the same. It is frustrating that the closest this gets is the other side of the square. I hope Flyer is right in that there will be another one that will connect unt and rayzor... it can't get here soon enough. I am looking forward to it all. I am also glad to see something going up at Rayzor.
  5. I don't think (at least I hope I am not) one of those that are overly critical of the team. But, I do think it is a two way street on these things. I see what he is saying and I do agree that there are better methods of input and a message board is not necessarily the place for it. However, I think it is a good place to start with getting a general feel of things. I would hope that the department is going out to others (and if that includes reading up on a message board) to get a feel for the general public's opinion on the program... especially coming from those who care so deeply about the program. Sure, we are all clueless about the goings-on and the how-to's of everything... But, it is the "us" that the program needs to have buy in. So going to the customers/constituents in any way is an important thing to do. I hope that they do check in here more than the blog lead on. I enjoyed the read and the willingness for others to come directly to those that work in the program.
  6. Texas will win it this year. bank on it!
  7. No one has said anything about how he will do here. we are just excited about the interest he recieved prior to coming here. And that is all we can go on. Which is ok. Should we not have gotten excited when Vizza had offers but chose us? Or what about Jamario? Riley Dodge? Did we not have any reason to be happy that Brandon Kennedy chose us over his offers? There is nothing wrong with being pumped up and hopeful for a player coming in. *edit* oh wait, you are just referring to late qualifiers. In that case, Andy Brewster was a late qualifier and I think so was Evan Cardwel if I remember right. They seemed to work out well. And I haven't yet read anywhere that they seem to automatically put them as a UNT legend. This is a great pick up for the meanie greenies and we all have good reason to be excited for him coming here.
  8. I wonder what the story is on Flax. I am not sure what is most disappointing. It is a shame he has to sit out a year because he made a mistake like that. Yes, going to Houston is a mistake. Thats right, i said it! WHAT?! WHAT?!
  9. It is this time of year that I too become a bit overly optimistic. That may be due to the fact that I am just ready for some football and seeing 2-a-day practice gets me pumped up! I am trying to be level-headed about everything though it can be difficult with everything starting up.
  10. I will watch all the games from the best seat... my couch.... for free... with a $10 pizza.
  11. The people that could afford to go to those games may be rich... but I sure hope they aren't stupid. I hope no one actually buys such a crappy deal. If they do, then... wow.
  12. If you are joking, that is funny. If you are serious...I am pretty sure those are rivals rankings not 40 time.
  13. Yes, but the cool thing is... if you suck in the highest level you will drop down to the second tier and the best of the second tier will rise up. I like it because it rewards and punishes based on success on the field.... but in theory everyone has the opportunity to get a piece of the pie. I have no idea at all if it could work with football (especially at the collegiate level) but it is just for discussion.
  14. Have we ever considered a system like the English Premier League
  15. Ok, I don't get CFL. So, you can have multiple people in forward motion before the snap on offense? And was is with the 50 yard endzones? It is BLOWING MY MIND!
  16. Win and they will come. It is hard to get into the game with the product we are putting out there. Being big time goes both ways.
  17. It wouldn't shock me... his family does mission work and, if I remember right, he did mission work with them. And I am not talking about the let's go down to mexico for a week and build a house type mission work either.
  18. I am not a fan of the winged tips either... but, there is nothing you can do about that now. It sounds like that isn't going to change.
  19. I see myself in the pic!
  20. You know what I will love... if by chance we end up winning the belt and making another one of those highlight DVD's that we used to when we owned the conference... i would love to have articles and news reports like this in there with it.
  21. I loved the Navy game. I thought the pre game was a blast. I loved the fly-over and it sounds like they will bring it back again.
  22. Jackson has been here. I have talked to him on campus a month ago.
  23. But, isn't it possible that a team who won the SBC not go to a bowl at all under this format?
  24. I would like to see this done regularly. especially through the football and basketball seasons.
