It is a story of unequal opportunity. Whether you are conservative or liberal should make no difference in the matter. This isn't a matter of equality in actuality. But, of equality in opportunity. The BCS system is fundementaly designed to not give equal opportunity to all of NCAA's top division participants. I applaud the government for doing something about this unethical practice.

I am happy about the hire and to some degree it does restore my interest into next season, but don't you guys think we may be a bit knee-jerk about this and what our 2010 season will look like? I am hopeful that this thing succeeds but I am not ready to declare anything yet. For your sakes, I hope you guys tread lightly. We might be in for some big disappointment. I am still in a wait and see mode. On a somewhat of a side note... i think it hilarious that someone has suggested that we don't have to have a winning record to keep dodge around longer. I like your optimism. But, I am still concerned majorly about our interior D-line and I think our d succeeds or fails based largely on them. And, since we aren't really helping the situation by not bringing in anybody really has me disappointed in how much better we will be there. I hope i will get to the point where you are to help change my attitude.

The only time period I had to wait to hire a FT here at unt was that it had to be posted for a week (5 bus. days). I don't know, and I doubt, that it has to be much different from that.

If Dodge doesn't work out here... then Kragthorpe is my number one pick.

How many points per game is he averaging? I am sure it might be an oversight on my part... I know he did really well by hitting 5 3's in an exhibition game. but, i don't recall him setting the world on fire since then. I haven't really seen all this great talent yet.

I haven't really seen much out of Thomas lately. Then again, i haven't been paying much attention to him either. What have you seen that makes you think he is very talented?

I grow tired of hearing others talk about how we negative neds who believe we are likely wasting time with a coach and a failed program should just blindly follow the program. As I said before, if they want us to buy into the program completely, they need to have a sellable product. I am not supporting until they send the message that resonates with me.

Yes, now you are getting it. You need to just shut up and support the program regardless of your true feelings and convictions about the current state of the program.

I am confused... Kim Brimberry was offered a scholy from Denton Ryan high school to play for unt. (or did she walk on? No, i am pretty sure it was a scholy) Now she didn't stick around after her first year. But, she isn't the first one to play for the soccer team from denton.

If this is what they meant than i still find it offensive. I don't plan on going to too many games next year. that is my way of protesting the decision made. That is the beauty about it all, i don't HAVE to be there. If they want me to care then they should give me a reason to care. And bringing back a 5-31 coach doesn't hep that at all. if they don't want these sentiments then do something about it. If they didn't want the customer to be apathetic about their product then they should have changed their product. So I don't want them to give me a line to shut up and blindly follow a program i don't believe in.

Look for this year to have an ass load of juco's for dodge to try to salvage this thing. It isn't over. I think the consequences of him coming back will ripple on for awhile.

I guess I am one of those. I will care when the people in charge care. i don't like being lied to and be told our improvement this year is significant enough for dodge to stay. 2-10 is not significant enough. i am done for now. see ya in 2011 when we get a new coach.
