I heard the podcast with all of those that do podcasts and was disappointed in their predictions for who was going to win the Cal game. Not only because they were so negative towards unt. But because of the reasons they gave. Needed more analysis as to why they think unt will lose against Cal specifically other than Stone being number one and the HC saying the backup will get minutes. Like… that was their only reason for being negative. It seems that was enough to flip most of them. Which just seems odd to me. My two cents.

Looks like Mac and Tech are already ducking us
Travis replied to Tom McKrackin's topic in Mean Green Basketball
It’s going to suck then for Grant when he has to play us in the NCAA tournament. -
I am glad we are leaning to UNT. I hated that RV tried to get us away from that and to North Texas. It’s like we want to distance ourselves from the very university we represent.

I wonder what his brother is up to now as well.

Could the MWC still try to make a Play for UNT and UTSA
Travis replied to El Paso Eagle's topic in Mean Green Football
Correct. Yeah I think the entire metro area of Boise comes in at like 800,000 I think with a total state population of less than 2 million. So BSU definitely has the attention of most eyeballs here. what little IU does get it likely pulled away from their neighbor. in the end if they could increase their facilities they would be in a P5 school. -

Middle of nowhere. Boise metro has like half the state’s whole population. So it is easy to support. Idaho has much better academics though. -

Boise seems to be a no brainer to me. But they aren't really considered at all. They have some strong programs but their facilities are quite behind. I would take our facilities over BSU any day. I think that is what holds them up more than anything else. They do have the entire state behind them in support. I would dream of the support they get for North Texas. But when you are the only show in town (state) you have the advantage. -

I’d love to be in the mountain west. Just for the fact that I am in Boise. -
I am excited to see who is on the team this year.

GMG Report: Hearing Dane Jackson Headed to the Portal

Outside of these crazy superfans who just want to buy a championship/success... I struggle seeing how there is any real solid ROI for businesses to pay for NIL from players outside of a select elite few. I think once this is realized, it will likely slow down somewhat. Then again, there will always be stupid crazy superfans.

As one with a masters in rec management. So many of us looked up to Rick and the things he has done in the industry. Sad loss for the mean green community and for recreation professionals. He is so great for both.

He sat out after his freshman year I believe. -
Breaking: Tylor Perry enters transfer portal

Oh good. This is fun for me too. Glad we see it the same way. the context is obvious but seems to escape you. So I will mansplain it to you since you need it so… he didn’t create the accolades he did for himself at Tulane. He scored 13 points on a bad Tulane team in his second year. Now, and stay with me here because I know this one is hard for you…. When you become ‘great’ like he did as a CUSA POY instead of using his last year to go elsewhere or just going pro, he stayed to push his program he was already at to a whole other level. Which is where the respect comes from. But so often, players at ‘lesser’ places will parlay that into another program that they think will give them more back. And regardless of if it does or not… I have more respect for those that stay true to the program that made them that way instead of leaving. Context is a bitch but I know after laying out the blueprints to it all that I believe you can follow that enough. I believe in you. You got this champ. -

Oh please.... the leading scorer on a bad tulane hardly makes him anything. You made a point about Seton Hall where he was under 2 points. Your points are weak. You know what does create a name for himself?? Being the conference player of the year on a good program. -

As I just mentioned before... He didn't make his name at Seton Hall. He got his accolades while at UAB. And he decided to stay at UAB. -

Unless you consider averaging less than 2 points a game stellar at Seton Hall. He made his name at UAB. And after, he chose to stay at UAB. -

Jesus, its crap like this that drives me nuts. Also, what drives me nuts is hearing people say lines 'earned the right to transfer'. what does that even mean?! I love what TP has done for the program the past few years. But, I definitely have a lot of respect for the Jelly Walkers of the world that even with all the accolades and "earning the right to transfer" they stay true to their school and continue to make where they are great.- 181 replies

They lost it themselves. Reffing or not. FAU had way many chances and did nothing with it.
