how can we get out of our licensing agreement? -
Thursday evenings on the square is a lot of fun. Bring a blanket too. They have live music on the square. Bring out the family!

A Real Worl Championship
Travis replied to KRAM1's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Replace Beasley with Torres, and Gomez with Buddle and I am with you. Even though I don't think Dempsey plays as a team contributor well, he is still better than alot of other options. Especially when he really wants it. You can also tell when he doesn't. Beasley is inconsistent and Torres has done well everytime he has played with the national team. He makes the most of every opportunity. If not Torres, I would rather see Clark or Holden in before Beasley. I struggle to understand Bradley's personnel decisions sometimes. Oh man, speaking of Bradley, I have as much criticism for him as I do with T.Dodge. As for our forwards, i believe this is the weakest unit we have. So Gomez being on the team doesn't surprise me. But, we should go with Buddle and Altidor on top. I would consider putting Findley in before Gomez. I am surprised that Gomez got on the team before Ching. But that is me. Then again, i am surprised that Bradley even gave Johnson and Sacha an opportunity to be on the team too. -
A Real Worl Championship

I am trying to understand how you say that you don't think we will get out of group round. Have you seen who we are up against?! There is no reason we SHOULDN'T get out of group. If we don't we really are much worse than I thought. How is it possible that we go to the Confederations Cup final and here we sit wondering if we will get out of group. We aren't the underdog in the group round. On top of this... we aren't playing the world cup in Europe. So long as it isn't there, we have a tendency to do ok. And, whoever said that Donovan is over-hyped and over-paid has got to be kidding me. He truly is one of the best players on this team. This is from some of the people "who are in the know" that are in the EPL. If he wasn't, why did he go on loan to Everton for a month? The one who i don't like is dempsey. In the past he is a one man show and doesn't use the rest of his team like he should. Also, I don't understand why Beasley even made the 23 man roster. Talk about an individual who is inconsistent. Give me a limping Davies over a healthy bug-eyed Beasley. -
I would consider him the highest regarded OC coming into the program. I hope it translates into something good for us this season.

As the one who comprises the selection committee... I have heard your opinions and will say that I have chosen Scott Hall to be in the Hall Of Fame! He deserves it. So does Cobbs, Brewster, and Booger.

Hypothetical : If We Start Out 0 - 3 Do We Fire Dodge
Travis replied to NT03's topic in Mean Green Football
We let him finish out the season... but, no way do we keep him here if he can't win 7 games. -
Drill Here Drill Now!

What?! I said 'with all due respect'! -
can you imagine how empty that place would look if it was even bigger than now. That would be funny.

A lot of people get mad when things like this happen. And it is understandable. But, people who start suggesting that "we stop drilling as everyone else should too" really don't understand what they are saying. We don't have the technology for alternate forms of energy to meet the requirements for the modern life. Unless people are willing to go back to horse and buggy then we must drill for oil. -
Big 10 Makes Offer To 4 Schools - 2 Big Xii
Travis replied to MeanGreen61's topic in Mean Green Football
But, what then does that mean for the Big 12 North? I just don't see how TCU and Houston help with Kansas, K State, Iowa State and Colorado. I also don't see Oklahoma and OSU wanting to be a partof the Big 12 North due to history with the South. But, maybe that is just me. -
isn't UCF's stadium a big aluminum can? I thought I heard it is comprised of a lot of metal and next to no concrete.
-
You are correct. UTEP came from the WAC. MWC is superior to both CUSA and WAC. I wouldn't understand how any one would pass up an invite from them since they are closest to the big 6. See example in TCU.

I think i heard from someone that Grandy's (chicken) original owner was from UNT. I also heard they sold it quite some time ago. We all know mattress mac from gallery furniture.com.... we also know we will never see him around here again.
-
I wonder how many owners of successful businesses come from UNT and the degree of involvement they have with the University that helped get them where they are... We know of Jordan Case and Park Place Lexus and how well he is involved with the university. But, I just found out that Jay Lombardo of Lombardo Custom Apparel is a UNT grad too. Especially when he gives so much to the Stars and Mavs market, I am not sure he has any involvement with us. But, why can't that change? What others around the metroplex, state, nation do you know who is an alumni of UNT that we should target more often??

No way we beat clemson... no way we beat KSU. Not going to happen.

I think it is funny that they are putting their own students in the endzone and allowing the visitors on the sideline.

Thoughts On Riley Dodge To Wide Receiver
Travis replied to MeanGreen61's topic in Mean Green Football
I don't think it will be a tough decision if we win only 5-6 games. -
We need to recruit this kid.
-
God.

There is only one conclusion we can draw from this. Rodge is a dirty liar who can't be trusted.
-
I am glad that we are going to put the one who is most capable of getting the job done. If it was Riley, then he needs to be out there. If it is Derek or Nathan... than so be it. I don't see this as good or bad news. Rather, us trying to put our best foot forward. Riley is going to be a beast in the slot.

7 still must remail. If Dodge is 10-38 by season's end, I expect him to go. The bar needs to stay where it is.

he will be out for the remainder of spring ball.
