i love how people say ISU was the doormat of the big 12/8 so that is why it took so long. What about being the doormat of the sun belt?! How much harder is it to raise to the level of respectability being one of the worst teams in the worst conference when he couldn't do it with a team that had so much more than we do now. I think this isn't a good hire either. sad day.

There wasn't an "I'm not sure" choice. That is where I am. I wouldn't object to Fran or Kragthorpe. I don't think i would object to Canales either. But, I am really not sure about McCarney. I am not saying no to any of these. I am just not sure.

I am pretty sure that when Alzee said he was out for the rest of the year... he was referring to a Mercury Year. It takes mercury 88 days to revolve around the sun. But, the "rest" of the year means that the equivalent ratio of what is left on this year in relation to a mercury year. There is only 1/12 a year remaining. 1/12 of 88 is 7.304. So basically we will see him back in just over a week. It's science.

I will be sad if Canales leaves this program. I really would love for him to stay as the Associate Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator if he doesn't get the head coaching gig. I really like the guy. If it is Coach Fran for HC, and he pulls a Coach Fran and leaves after some success, then I want Canales to be the guy for the job. That is my mean green wish list.

What other schools have hired Chuck? How successful were his picks? Has he done well picking the right candidates? If anyone knows these answers, much is appreciated by responding...

I like this... but, I just don't know about Canales. I have questions. I like him, and I wouldn't mind hiring him. I know he cares for the kids. Everytime a player was injured at ULM he goes out to meet with him on the field. I like what he has done in the short time. But, i just don't know if i can approach with as much confidence as some of you on this board has about him being THE GUY.

Do you guys know of a site that has all the stats of the game? Shots, time of possession, etc.? I can't find one.

Yeah, I doubt we will see McGee suit up for the mean green. You would be wasting your time following him if you hope to see him come back to us.

I also think this game hurt his chances more than a lot of people realize. I think it is that we got worse as the game went on. There wasn't a lot of defensive adjustments. They were running, throwing, blitzing very successfully. Number 22 and 25 looked to have an awful game. Also, our lines on both sides seemed to get dominated.

I wasn't impressed by Riley all that much today. Several times I saw our players beat the coverage and Riley didn't give it to them... even when Riley had time. I believe it was because he simply can't get it to them that far. Riley knows his limitations. I look forward to seeing who gets the starting role next season. Riley will have a good shot. But, I think it will go to someone else.

AMEN! I have always thought it was ugly how they have it. And it creates alot of green space in the best area for the fans. It looks ugly on TV, it looks empty in photographs... Enough with the big media pen.
