  1. I remember muenchow... that guy was huge. At least, to me.
  2. I liked Fran too. But, in reality, many many schools passed over Fran for someone else. I would like to think they all knew what they were doing.
  3. As I understand... some schools have been asked... and they said no.
  4. I think this may show that we can be one of the worst teams in the league... We know we can be one of the best too. I hate to be the team going to practice tomorrow. I am sure Johnny is PISSED!
  5. Why wasn't TT starting?
  6. Did you see the pre-game show?! Holy crap, they did that bigger than any pro team I have ever seen.
  7. I am hopeful to see Edwards on the second team next year. Actually, I hope he finds his comfort/confidence zone and becomes a strong starter next year.
  8. This will be a lot of fun!!!
  9. Kram, sent you a PM. Thanks for getting something like this going.
  10. ha, definitely married up. But, she did tell me a lot of the things they do/did that I didn't realize how much effort and commitment goes into it.
  11. Earlier today I had a pretty cool experience. I went to my niece's 5 year old birthday party today. My sister once asked one of the UNT cheerleaders if she would be willing to bring a few of the other cheerleaders to come "cheer" on a 5 year old girl's birthday since it was a cheerleading themed party. It was so great to see about 6 of the cheer squad come out to a little girl that they didn't even know and do UNT cheers and teach some stunts to all the children during her birthday party. They brought some UNT stuff to pass out and really were great representatives of the program. All the kids loved it, though they were a bit shy and intimidated at first. They really made it special for that little girl. I know we can often be critical of everything UNT, and sometimes forget to be appreciative... but seeing some of these guys volunteer their early saturday morning to come out and represent UNT athletics and the UNT community was extremely impressive. My wife and I later talked to some of them, since my wife was a cheerleader at UNT ten years ago. They seemed to really care about the cheer squad and the university. Though, it surprised me to know that they have been going with out a coach since last summer and it has been completely run and organized by the squad(captain) itself. In fact, they showed some concern about not only the direction of the cheer program, but whether or not they will even have/sustain a cheer program (my words, not theirs). I think what they do can often go unappreciated... all the work they put into cheerleading, being an ambassador for the program, and going to many non-athletic events to promote the university because they love the program and the school. Anywho, I hope the athletic department gets some things together for their squad like maybe perhaps a coach for starters. Even my wife recalls the athletic department wanting to set some stuff (scholarships or something of the sort) for the cheerleaders... this was promised nearly ten years ago... and it doesn't sound like that was ever delivered. Hopefully some things will get going for these guys. I just wanted to let you all know what a great thing they did for a little girl's birthday and how appreciative we are of them.
  12. This is the same thing some posters were saying in regards to Todd Dodge-Darrel Dickey. It was weak/pointless argument that assumed because one was doing poor the only option would be to still want the other.
  13. So did Hayden Fry. But, I still see your point.
  14. Yes, he played under his dad last year as a wide reciever. you can look at the participation reports to see that. Or watch the Clemson game. FACT! And now, he has made it abundantly clear that he wants to play QB. A position he knows he will not have unless we have a similar scenario to last season. FACT! And Daddy was there last year... Daddy is not here this year. FACT!
  15. Riley would have been starter even though Thompson beat him out last year?
  16. But, it is true. I guess the truth hurts for some people. He was willing to be a WR when TD was here. And, now he is not.
  17. how did i get a negative two by what i said.... what was wrong about it?!
  18. I really liked Riley. hate to see him go.
  19. Doesn't surprise me... I think it is a combo of daddy gone and him being forced to play wide reciever next year. Something I don't think he wants to do.
  20. Not only just affordability... But, a huge problem we are facing is just getting people to play us. We are better than our brand, and other bigger brand programs know it and do not want to lose to us. It is hard for them to schedule a game they are going to lose.
  21. Sounds like they are playing a bunch of groundskeepers from a cemetary.
  22. I can't wait to have him here. Next year should be a pretty exciting "rebuilding" year.
  23. And they are ULM.
  24. The Global Warming thing is getting so funny. Why is it freezing? Global Warming. Why is it so hot? Global Warming? Why is there so many blizzards? Global Warming Why is there no snow? Global Warming. Hurricanes? Global Warming. No hurricanes? The same freakin' answer. It has become an answer for everything and it is getting stupid. Especially when you see that since 1998 there seems to be a drop in tempatures... Something that the prognosticators didn't even consider a chance of happening. I actually heard from a "scientist" that the consistent drop in tempatures is because of global warming. So... our globe is getting warmer by getting cooler?! Just ridiculous.
