  1. So… still incapable of playing two halves it appears.
  2. Drag your feet catch and fall with it. It would have been an INT.
  3. But no worries.. we have people here advocating that we still have the right guy to lead that ‘problem’ area.
  4. Let me get this straight… we are advocating keeping a DC who has a team dead last in the entire division in what he is overseeing?! Am I getting this right?
  5. Yes that Mac. And he led one good team. Not teams. He was a coach that couldn’t recruit worth a flip. Actually did that bowl win with Dodge guys. And who gave us the biggest train wreck of a team for a single season I have ever seen. Even over the Dodge years…. Yes. That was a terrible hire. he left us in worst shape than any coach has in the modern era. I have never seen a coach wreck a program like he did. Which is why SL was a good hire to bring the program out of that mess.
  6. Mac was a terrible hire. Dodge was a terrible hire. SL wasn’t a terrible hire. morris to date is a terrible hire. I hope that changes. I don’t think I care to get into pissing contest of which one is more terrible
  7. EM not being the correct pick doesn’t mean that SL firing was the wrong decision. Those are mutually exclusive. We had this same question when we fired Dickey and hired dodge. It is irrelevant. Firing SL had to happen. Hiring Morris didn’t have to happen.
  8. In the first half for most everyone of them as well.
  9. This isn’t the own you think it is. You are bragging about a 3-5 team that has the worst defense in the entire division and who has zero ability to close out games. Nah, we didn’t make moves for these kind of results. And is unable to play four quarters. while he has done better than what I expected to this point…. That isn’t saying much at all. Edit and updated: you are bragging about a 3-6 team. Part of your argument is that SL can’t do the numbers that EM can but SL played their regular season game much closer than EM did against UTSA. you picked a bad week to choose this post.
  10. I seriously thought he already died.
  11. Happy with their effort. But such a north Texas way for our own players to trip over each other to lose it.
  12. And this was all I was really hoping for.
  13. I love going to that thing right after a football game. The square is a blast and a great way to finish the night.
  14. I will tell you what… if I am a student fan group who wants my team to succeed, I too want to set off a really loud cannon right in front of them to permanently damage their ears. bold strategy cotton.
  15. It did produce wins against a conference full of teams that should have likely been in a lower division. I did love the solid RB's that we always have here. But his offense was consistently out-coached and massively imbalanced outside of the mcneese states of our conference. Our offense, while good in running, still was quite poor overall save for a few years we had mediocre output. 2000: 111 2001: 81 2002: 101 total offense 2003: 54 2004: 53 2005: 113 2006: 115 I wouldn't describe that as solid by any stretch.
  16. I wouldn’t describe our Dickey offense as solid by any stretch of the imagination.
  17. I struggle seeing where win 3 will be this year. I don’t see another win coming.
  18. You are right. Defense held them to their average scoring of the season save for the Norte Dame game. Rogers was a liability this game and almost as bad as Earl in protecting the ball. Dudes gotta know the constant blitz and get it out or exit the pocket. He cost us this one. And our slow start didn’t help.
  19. I don’t understand how we lost. rogers started right?
  20. Doesn’t matter. And also kinda my point. It is a large assumption that Rogers would have won the game at FIU. Earl still left the game with a lead and Rogers was spotted three points and we lost the game. To assume that somehow he would have won it largely ignores that simple fact.
  21. Debatable. So even after spotting Rogers three points , we still lost the game from that second half with Rogers under center. Rogers is the guy at QB but let’s not forget we had the lead when he took over at FIU and then we lost it.
  22. That is debatable. Neigh… it is highly debatable.
  23. Rogers passes seem to be duck-like a lot. But I am really liking this guy.
  24. I had a great conversation with Phil at a family wedding this past summer. The way he spoke of UNT on this podcast was the exact same when we talked. He has such an optimistic outlook for UNT and such a positive regard. It was neat to talk about the Boise State bowl game and a few tidbits. All around great guy. I give him two thumbs up!
