I just don't think we have the money to buy out such a contract.... and then have the money to give to a new quality head coach. I

Ok...I am going to put on my Sherlock hat on and from what I gather from this thread. Taylor called it quits. Taylor is NOT a dude. Taylor plays for Coach Pete. She has a family that is a bunch of hookers. Taylor was preggers not too long ago. Benford is somehow, maybe involved in this. Benford arrived on the scene before Taylor was preggers. Benford has nets. He casts them widely. CONCLUSION- Benford is the baby daddy. Benford'd

I am not really sure why everyone is discounting Williams as a passer compared to the others. Who have we heard this from?

North Texas Mean Green vs. Old Dominion Monarchs - 2/13/14

That's funny. I thought Andrew blamed the players and not the coach. Whereas most on this board put the blame on the coach. Now I hear that it is all you guys trashing on the players?!! So confused. -
I think Trilli was worse. He had talent and did even less than Benford has.

This whole argument makes little sense... It only gives more evidence to justify a new change. Just a few years ago there was quite a bit of talk about the progress of this program. And I have never seen a program take such a hard turn in lack of support as I have seen with this one. But, given the circumstances, it is completely understandable. I haven't been to a game this season. I have grown to really not care anymore. I hope that changes. But, why would I pay to go see something that only gives me more negative experiences and frustration than positive? No thanks. I have better ways to invest my time and money.

Catching up with The Great Darrell Dickey and others
Travis replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Losing those Byerly to grades and Smith definitely hurt our chances at success for the following years. But, I am still not completely sure what we would have looked like after some of those greats on D and O left. it also didn't help that Jamario was never the same player after his freshman year due to injuiries... likely because he was overused as a freshman?? I recall hearing from a well-regarded O-lineman in 2005 (the season just ended and it was in late January) who was rather upset at how little recruiting Coach Dickey and his staff actually did. He cared a lot about the program and knew that it was going to get bad.- 41 replies

Was the fee upgrade only for the stadium, or was it for the stadium and other projects? Like, as long as we are in debt and have projects on the table, the fee is in place???

Catching up with The Great Darrell Dickey and others
Travis replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Agreed. Dickey did great things in a weak conference. He had one great recruiting class with a few good ones here and there after that. Certainly, it was nothing to write home about... We still were ranked close to the very bottom in recruiting year in and year out after that. I struggle calling him great. Always will. We sucked so much at our out of conference games and no one really cared about us. Perception wise, we didn't establish much of anything. And it certainly didn't take long to lose whatever momentum we gained. Count me as one of those happy to see Dickey go and as one of those who hesitates to call him great.- 41 replies
