  1. Yeah, I know that is a possibility that we would miss out on. I hope we go bowling, but there are just too many unknowns to make that an expectation of mine. Here is to hoping for the best!
  2. Given the turnover, I think it safe and more reasonable to just aim to hit 6.
  3. Just moved to Boise a couple weeks ago. This place is littered with blue and orange. I was surprised to see that even with all the success, their stadium is just a few thousand more than us. In fact, facilities-wise, we are on par with everything they have. Academically, the BSU isn't on par with other programs in the state. But, they have put a lot of attention and backing into their programs and it shows. It doesn't hurt that Boise is a beautiful place to live. People are die-hard here and most will tell you it wasn't this way that long ago. So, I ask myself, 'why not us?' I agree, we haven't had a signature-win. Unless, you consider a Cincinatti bowl win or a UNLV bowl win as signature... of which I don't. We need a top 25 win like Troy did years ago. Or, an almost as big knocking down of Texas.
  4. I really hate seeing our mascot these days.
  5. I get tired head when I hear the notion that he didn't lose games. He did. A pick 6 in which we lose by as much definitely implies responsibility. Sometimes we suffer memory loss.
  6. If you are going to hang with the fellas... you gotta keep up with the inside lingo. More barbaric 1310 the ticket for you!
  7. I get the giggles from your post. That's right... I said the giggles.
  8. You are feisty. Someone give her shoulder pads and a jersey! I think we found our new Nose Tackle. Good luck to #19. I hope he does well and sees a lot of time on the field.
  9. I am so disappointed in you. I can't believe you would make it about race. And at a time like this...
  10. To talk logic is to say that you communicate with proper logic. I am not saying that Charlie is wrong. I agree with him that Mac and company do, in fact, know more than us about football-especially UNT football. But, logically speaking, that doesn't make Mac's decisions right, correct, or true. Appealing to authority, including expertise, doesn't necessarily make an argument logically correct. Those points would be called a logical fallacy and would be thrown out in any proper discourse. But, we aren't having a debate with judges here and this is an opinion fan board. So let's not worry about propriety. As for the QB situation... I am not going to complain on any of their decisions as to who will start (except for maybe little mac because I have seen him and I haven't been too impressed). I just want them to pick a solid leader who will give us the best chance of success.
  11. Mac must have missed it too because he didn't play Olawale much either. *edit* Oh, I didn't realize that point was already made earlier.
  12. that is true and I understand your point. They know more than us. But, I just can't help but think that a second/third string guy who played only special teams has been on an NFL roster the past few years... If he had NFL type talent, then how did we not see that or utilize that more here?! And, you do find players that think other players should get the nod when they don't. And, it is possible to have your own bias as a coach for who you select and be wrong. They may know more than us, but that doesn't make their argument right or valid. It would be a logical fallacy to use authority as proof of an argument. Just to give a different perspective...
  13. I don't care who wins the job... I just want them to be a good leader and help put us in the best position possible.
  14. I didn't realize how little UTEP pays. I remember maybe ten years ago or so when they upgraded their stadium that we were so far behind.
  15. I am just going by what I saw. And they lived in my hall. So...
  16. He didn't want to be here. He didn't fit in with the team and never really tried to either. That year everyone was so close and he was always distant from them. I doubt he would have ever done well here with the attitude that I saw. I don't know for sure, but I often wondered if he was pressured to come here and play because of family more than him actually wanting to be here.
  17. No. Only one a day you greedy bastard.
  18. I can't speak for other people... but, my point is usually done with my index finger. Sometimes I make a point with another appendage of mine.
  19. I thought you could only be good in one sport?
  20. Screw this... we are going to one of the biggin's....
  21. McNulty will only start if there are injuries.
  22. I hate when we kill the clock with anything above 50 second left in the half.
  23. I don't mind the one year transfers if they can actually produce.... like Shawnson Johnson who transferred from LSU... hell of a rebounder. Great contributor. It was worth it. But, we have brought in some one-years that was not worth the scholly and risk of a one year player.... including Vaughns, in my opinion.
  24. Booger has the best d play. Offense is harder for me. Some of the ones mentioned above definitely. But also consider the miracle in the desert where hall hit Marshall between two defenders and threaded that needle perfectly. There was an amazing grab by Quinn for a TD against ASU that was simply amazing once in a life time grab. There was the first big run by Jamario Thomas against Colorado that was awesome. There has been several times that chicos shovel pass plays work to perfection. Most embarrassing play goes to McLain at the tech game in 2000.
