MGB: Chris Jones talks about move to ASU
Travis replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Basketball
I admit that I am keeping an ear to all the negativity... and my bias says that I want a new coach. But, with all that said, who can hear this and not have a problem with this... That your starting PG for the past two years, the one that touches the ball more than anyone else, doesn't feel they have good direction and purpose from their HC? -

The better question is, does Benford know what Benford was trying to do? -
C-USA members are supporting Coach Mac

I've never had a pair of Tony's balls.

This sounds like the appropriate course of action. Hopefully, they will do whatever is necessary to satisfy the expectations of Coach Mac and be reinstated. I appreciate Coach Mac holding his players to a reasonable standard... and refraining from these things is quite reasonable.

He would come to CUSA so quickly if it was offered to him.

Banowsky thinks some C-USA programs might discontinue football

I wonder if students would support paying football players at their schools if they knew that they would be the ones giving them money through their own athletic fees? -

I am willing to bet that our best odds of winning this game is if we can get more points on the board than they do, we can win this game.- 55 replies

Boise proves why a signature win is so necessary
Travis replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Yeah, I know that is a possibility that we would miss out on. I hope we go bowling, but there are just too many unknowns to make that an expectation of mine. Here is to hoping for the best! -

Given the turnover, I think it safe and more reasonable to just aim to hit 6. -
Boise proves why a signature win is so necessary
Travis replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Just moved to Boise a couple weeks ago. This place is littered with blue and orange. I was surprised to see that even with all the success, their stadium is just a few thousand more than us. In fact, facilities-wise, we are on par with everything they have. Academically, the BSU isn't on par with other programs in the state. But, they have put a lot of attention and backing into their programs and it shows. It doesn't hurt that Boise is a beautiful place to live. People are die-hard here and most will tell you it wasn't this way that long ago. So, I ask myself, 'why not us?' I agree, we haven't had a signature-win. Unless, you consider a Cincinatti bowl win or a UNLV bowl win as signature... of which I don't. We need a top 25 win like Troy did years ago. Or, an almost as big knocking down of Texas. -
I really hate seeing our mascot these days.

MGB: Spring game thoughts, individual stats
Travis replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
I get tired head when I hear the notion that he didn't lose games. He did. A pick 6 in which we lose by as much definitely implies responsibility. Sometimes we suffer memory loss. -

You are feisty. Someone give her shoulder pads and a jersey! I think we found our new Nose Tackle. Good luck to #19. I hope he does well and sees a lot of time on the field.- 17 replies

I am so disappointed in you. I can't believe you would make it about race. And at a time like this...

To talk logic is to say that you communicate with proper logic. I am not saying that Charlie is wrong. I agree with him that Mac and company do, in fact, know more than us about football-especially UNT football. But, logically speaking, that doesn't make Mac's decisions right, correct, or true. Appealing to authority, including expertise, doesn't necessarily make an argument logically correct. Those points would be called a logical fallacy and would be thrown out in any proper discourse. But, we aren't having a debate with judges here and this is an opinion fan board. So let's not worry about propriety. As for the QB situation... I am not going to complain on any of their decisions as to who will start (except for maybe little mac because I have seen him and I haven't been too impressed). I just want them to pick a solid leader who will give us the best chance of success.

Mac must have missed it too because he didn't play Olawale much either. *edit* Oh, I didn't realize that point was already made earlier.
