  3. Ha. It is a radical idea. A part of me likes it if the big conferences truly break away completely to form a new league.
  4. They know that SMU only supports a winner. Even during our dark days we had better crowds than them. The numbers wont show it because, well... they count each appendage that goes through their gate as a person.
  5. WooHoo! I am still trying to work out which games to fly back for this season. Can't do it too much this year.
  6. My sources say that the eleventy billion dollars that will come of this will be used to fund the redesign of a new scrappy to look even more angry, whore-ish. My same sources also said that the original plans for the new stadium was to destroy fouts field and put an exact replica in the same location.

  9. Have you seen UCLA's new uni's? I think they are pretty cool. What do you think? I hope we have alternates again like last year.   11. What a bunch of crock! How can we trust this guy when we clearly know his fingers are not made of butter, rather flesh, blood, bone, nerves, and tendon.
  12. You are half way correct. Every team needs to worry about the personnel of the other team. That place then births strategy and tactics. I know what you are thinking... we only have had DD and TD as coaches to educate us that strategy and tactics are a myth. But, I have traveled a many places and seen many wonders to realize that such a thing isn't fantasy anymore. It really does exist!

  15. I expect a big difference will be the turnover margin. We will not get anywhere close to the numbers we had last year.

  17. How on earth does this previous post get a -1. The year we used those cleats, we had numerous foot/ankle problems. The cleats were designed in a way that allowed for a high ankle-roll probability. Why do I know this??? because I have the very same ones.
  18. I would consider a 2 for one if we also buy a team like SHSU or SFA to come in on a return year or two.
  19. I would be surprised if any bigger school would come get Hedlund. SMU isn't interested in a UNT coach who wins games but really nothing big. They think bigger and bring in coaches that have National Coach of the Year honors and a national championship. Hedlund's coaching personnel choice, tactics, and in-game philosophy drives me crazy. And, it is the kind of style that will never do well for big games-hence why he has never won a single tournament game. We have a hotbed for soccer players in the big city areas of Texas. So we get talent.... the possibilities of what we could actually do with it are far greater than what we really do with it. That is my HSO. I must add though that Hedlund has done good with his record.... obviously. I am not calling for a resignation or anything. We could have it much worse and I like being always at the top of our conference. But, given what we pay him and his results, I think it is all fine and his pay is adequate.
  20. Soccer doesn't bring in any revenue like the big sports. He gets compensated accordingly. And, I am a huge soccer supporter. But, I think his pay is very reasonable.
