Well, ESPN has the last word on this. Such a shame to lead Zach on like that.

With like a minute extra of thought... i shouldn't be joking. This is a big deal. I hope the university takes appropriate measures in dealing with these two. -
Two UT Football Players Arrested for Sexual Assault

This seems to happen to Jane Doe a lot. -
I liked watching Vizza as a player. I thought he showed some great things while very young. I wonder what kind of player he would have been in his senior year. There was tons of drama during Dodge's years. I think that can happen when you lose like we did. Everything just sucks more when you lose. The suck losing contributed, i am sure, to the drama in the program. Sometimes, it is easy to put up with each others stuff when you see and feel success.

5 college football programs under pressure in 2014: #4 – Texas
Travis replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
How can this How can this be?! we aren't allowed to call SMU that. -
June Jones: C-USA, AAC, etc. should play SPRING football
Travis replied to Mean Green 93-98's topic in Mean Green Football
Well, we, as the non-P5, already compete with the P5, NFL, NBA, and NHL in the fall as well as MLB into October. A spring season would eliminate the NFL, the P5, and MLB only late in the season. It seems like it wouldn't hurt anymore than it already does. And to the individual that mentioned the heat, it would be no different than what we already experience.... some games hot moving to cold games- only it would be in reverse. All I am saying is that it isn't as bad an idea as a lot make it out to be. -
Four-star Duncanville SG Matt McQuaid decommits from SMU

I agree with what you are saying. I don't think we have to settle for a coach who loses and doesn't break the rules. It isn't the only option. I just know I have more respect for a coach who is trying to win the right way and doesn't. vs. a coach who is winning but does so unethically and without the best in mind for a person. That is what I gathered most from the statement. And from that perspective, I can agree. I certainly wouldn't call it dumb. But, with that said, I also believe there is a way you can get a coach that functions ethically and 'rightly' and still produce a winning team ala John Wooden. At least, I think John Wooden a stand-up guy. I wasn't so much putting the focus on choosing Benford or Brown. I don't know if Benford has done things the 'right' way. I do see players come in and out with little honoring of the mutual commitment to each other. Then again, I don't know what is happening on the inside with them. But, I was referring more so to the dilemma of my previous paragraph. Good people and good coaches can coexist in the same person. Let's find that one. -

What was dumb about it? Besides missing a few grammar points and not using the right 'their'.... I am failing to understand what makes this post so dumb. Unless I am forgetting more to the context. I can understand that what he is saying here is that if we don't win the 'right way', it isn't worth winning at all. I can agree to that. There are more important things than simply winning. -
Could I make a suggestion to your running blogs... both for games and things like this.... Could you reverse the running blog to have the most up to date stuff on the bottom? I often have to read it in reverse because I like to follow it as you would a timeline from beginning to end. I think it would flow better and help the reader read it in time stamped fashion from beginning to end instead of end to beginning. I think it would allow the reader to read all of what you post, not just the most recent. Just my two cents. keep up the good work! I appreciate what you do!

If the P5 break off, I don't think it is that bad an idea as many in this thread have mentioned. -
It is a new season... should have a new tag line.

Support George Dunham (Voice of the Mean Green)
Travis replied to UNTeagle88's topic in Mean Green Football
I like them both. They are great. I will go with Dunham for the obvious. I love that everyone on the morning show made it to the semi's including Gordo who practically knows nothing about sports. -
I hope he does! We will need it!

Very underrated post. -
You can't take a second. It is against the rules. You greedy bastard! Forgive me Father for I have sinned. I called a man of the cloth a bastard. And a greedy one at that. While he had it coming, i just want to cover my bases.

I'm hoping that means I will see some extra games in Boise. Now, I assume i can see the UT/UNT game on the Longhorn Network website, no?? because i HAVE to see the first game.... or could i find that on the espn 3 site?

Not a spec's fan. They try to sell you liquor they have special agreements with as if it is the best liquor EVAR! Only to realize they are simply pushing the liquor that they maximize profits off of. I like to try new things... but, i don't like wasting my money on something I was sold as great quality. I stopped going to them after talking to many other stores, store managers, etc. I'm not still bitter or anything.

Commissioners of ‘have-not’ conferences fire back at SMU’s June Jones
Travis replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Ha. It is a radical idea. A part of me likes it if the big conferences truly break away completely to form a new league.- 11 replies

They know that SMU only supports a winner. Even during our dark days we had better crowds than them. The numbers wont show it because, well... they count each appendage that goes through their gate as a person.
