It worries me how much we struggled even for defensive rebounds when Sissoko wasn’t in. Jeeze.

It’s far more than just paying him to not be outbid by bigger programs. It’s about keeping him as long as possible and also making bigger schools pay even more to get him away. and it also helps prevent ‘like schools’ from also getting him. Ala how we got Grant from ASU.

We do have the money to at least match what Mac got. It’s simple to me… all I know is I don’t forget what it was like before Hodge and Mac. And I don’t ever want to go back there. Hell I loved JJ but I don’t even want to go back to that either. I think he has more than proven what he brings to the table and I simply want to do what it takes to keep that here.

Using the portal in this manner is something I would just assume he would be good at. You pretty much have to be ready to lose guys every one to two years as a juco coach and he was always good at reloading. If anything… this might play well into his experience.

He has accomplished something already. mac has said time and time again the teams success (nit title and conference championships, first round win, etc) wouldn’t have happened without hodge then. Those are every bit of his wins as they are Mac’s. And he has proven to sustain the winning tradition. It seems like he has already proven it. Lock him in and if someone wants to come calling, then make them pay to release him.

We are still in the glory days of this program. The best way to guarantee that this program endures is to lock in one of the very two men that got us to where we are. I don’t know about you… but I don’t like to think of this era leaving us and I love that we are ‘in it’ for both conference champion talk and in NCAA tourney talk each year around this time. let’s do what we can and lock in Hodge!!!!! This is a no brainer for our AD to do asap.

Facts. lol. Though they have got rid of much of them skinheads of the north. From what happened before it is hard to get rid of the old notoriety. I swear everyone one in ten is Mormon in the south. At least it seems so. Moscow is probably the most liberal of all the towns in Idaho. And by liberal I also mean hippy and granola. Which… being the beekeeper I am, they can be my people sometimes. Ha.

This is why I think we should always be a portal heavy team. There is no such thing as us growing freshman for our future. We are merely just a farm system for the power conferences.
