I have to applaud Mr. Williams. Ever since he took over the reigns of the GB back in '03 (my last season in the Green Brigade), he has been the instigator of more cheers from the band and in turn, the band started doing more cheers on their own. Mr. Williams loves the Mean Green and he shows it every game day! His love has rubbed off on the band!!!

I'm not in the Green Brigade anymore, but as a former Green Brigader, I think the Todd Dodge is a good coach and hire. I am aware that a great coach on the high school level does not mean that a coach will do as great on the collegiate level. But I think that Todd Dodge has the ability to lead North Texas in the right direction and he has the potential to recruit some highly talented players. I look forward to great success and to having TD at the helm of the Mean Green!!

I like the green tops with the black or the green bottoms. I think the white tops will go better with the green pants rather than white pants. I am not fond of the helmet, no offense. I think that we stick with the script or the interlocking NT. These are just my humble opinions!

J-Mo's first year he had a GREAT o-line blocking for him. He has the talent and proved it!! I for one never gave up on him and never will!!!

How about no stupid penalties, blocking, tackling and NO DRAW PLAYS! If I see us do a draw play more than once without getting a first down on a drive, I am going to eat styrofoam. Ok, so maybe I won't eat styrofoam, but we shouldn't have to rely on the draw play so much!

I think that DD helped turn around the boat, but we needed a change to help keep the boat headed in the right direction. Thank you DD for the past 9 years at the helm. You have helped shape a new era in Mean Green athletics. Best wishes for the future!

I think that the team will rally and play extra hard in honor of Coach Dickey. Whether or not we are favored, we will have an emotional edge and hopefully that will be enough for a win!

I am not sure how we can get to one central location to sign a card. So we may have to be on our own for the card. However, I think that we (as the GMG forum) could chip in a donation to like paypal as this can be done over the internet. If this can be arranged, I would certainly chip in!

Many thoughts and prayers to the Dickey family. Please take care of yourself Coach Dickey and rest up!! I hope for a speedy recovery. And ditto what meanrob said. Can we send him a get well card or something???

This was the first time that I read what Lamar said and boy, what a jerk! I would have been laughing up a storm had FIU beaten Miami after all that smack Lamar said. Boy, talk about eating crow... Anyway, I personally think he should be fired. What he said was uncalled for!

I did get tired of playing Fly Like an Eagle when I was in the Green Brigade, but if it gets the team pumped up, then I am all for it!

Mr. Williams, the Green Brigade director, graduated with his bachelor's from UNT in '97. He taught in Plano at my 9th and 10th grade school (Clark HS) until he returned to UNT in fall of '02 to earn his master's which he earned a couple of years ago I believe. If I am not mistaken, he is working on his PhD. But yeah, he demands a lot of the band and in return the GB has improved tremendously since he took over the reigns of the GB in '03. Keep up the good work Mr. Williams!!!!

I think that the Green Brigade should be commended. The "drunken" version of the fight song is great. It is a variation but you can tell it is still the fight song. And there is more of an array of songs. A couple new songs made an apperance last night: Land of a 1000 Dances and Deep in the Heart of Texas. And Mr. Williams, if you are reading this....BRING BACK THE SONG MARS AFTER A GREAT DEFENSIVE PLAY!!!!!!!!!! That was done a few of years ago (2002 to be exact because it was my second to last season in the Green Brigade). All in all, the Green Brigade represented well last night and helped keep the student side rocking! Thanks guys for all you do!

I remember this playoff game. I was a freshman at Clark HS in Plano the year this game happened and became a '98 grad of Plano East. It's neat to know that my high school has one of the best if not the best comeback in high school football history.

I am think that having bad officiating at any school is horrible and should not be tolerated. HOWEVER, I am not crying over the fact that OU lost cuz I hate them and now they feel how it feels to get screwed over like most in the non BCS conferences feel every year. GO MEAN GREEN! BEAT AKRON!

Where would we be ranked if we had beaten UT? I am thinking top 50 for sure especially after beating SMU this weekend.

I thought he was a JUCO transfer. If so, don't we have him for this year and next year only? Or did he go to the JUCO for only 1 year instead of 2? I'm confused. But I would LOVE to have him for 3 years.

Does anyone have pictures of the alumni and student side during the SMU game? From where I sat on the student side, it looked full but I couldn't quite an accurate picture of it. If anyone has pictures, please post them. Thanks. It was a great game last night....Now, KNOCK THE WIND OUT OF THE HURRICANES OF TULSA!!!

Yeah, if our O-Line can step it up and give our RBs some lanes to run through, we can totally open up the offense and not rely so much on Woody or Johnny......And we lose Johnny after this season folks....We need to develop our younger RBs...like NOW!

Any luck we'll see Patrick play this season at all?

I was in Talons and left before the bottom fell out on this once fine organization. That is all I am saying on this subject other than I am extremely disappointed in Talons, not just now but for the past couple of years.

Wouldn't it be cool if we creamed SMU by like 20 points or more. I can only imagine what the headlines Sunday morning would say!!!
