Ok, we all know that deep down that we were more than likely going to lose the game. Winning was a slim chance. I am not saying that our performance was stellar or our best moment, but I think that the team can learn more about themselves and prepare better for next week by losing a game we were predicted to lose. First point, if the team had won, it would have been much harder to get over the fact that we had beated KSU and focus on Tulsa possibly starting an avalanche of unraveling. Second, by losing it gets the team thinking that they can't afford to lose many more games and still have any momentum to carry themselves into conference and any chance at the bowl game. Third, this is the first game that Todd Dodge has coached with Gary DeLoach. Sure they have been working together all offseason but the pressure of a game is different. Maybe we haven't "gelled" enough. But no matter how bleak today looked, we must stand behind our team!! How many of you thought we were going to the bowl game in 2001 heading into conference play after losing all those nonconference games?? I sure the heck didn't, but the team believed in themselves and the program reeled off 5 straight wins to win the conference and head to New Orleans. This is another one of those years guys. No matter how bleak it looks now, we must love and suppport them in their time of need as well as when they could do no wrong (i.e. those 25 straight conference wins '01-'04). These are my two cents of everything. I am in no way a professional football critic, but hey, there is room for improvement. I haven't panicked yet. We played a really good team in their house! Maybe this season will be one of our worst, but I firmly believe that we will learn something from it and next year will be a much better one. Thanks for listening to me! Here's to a good week next Saturday against Tulsa!!!!

This Tulsa fan is a jerk. The only reason why he is on here to talk smack (especially so far in advance of the game) is that deep down he is afraid that Tulsa might actually lose to UNT and wants to act "manly" by talking smack. So enjoy your ride down here Tulsa boy (or whatever the heck your handle is) because the Mean Green is done kicking your butt, you won't be able to sit down for a year!

I hope Green Grenade is right about beating the Wildkittens from KSU and the Tiggers (yes..Tiggers) from LSU. But it will be a very tall order to accomplish. If we can stay at least competitive (lose by 10 points or less), I say that is a HUGE statement that we are a force to be reckoned with. But a victory would be nice!! Power to the Green!

Wish that the Cowboys could have gotten Johnny, but I am just as proud of him to be able to play with in the NFL and working with the one and only, Brett Favre!!! Awesome job Johnny. All of us Mean Greeners are proud of you!!!!!

Imagine what we are going to be like in about 2-3 years. Todd Dodge at the helm and Deloach at the helm of the defense. Whoa Nelly!! If we can accomplish what we did in 2001-04 with DD, we definitely have a shot at not only winning the Sun Belt but also making an at large bowl game under TD. And maybe once we get the talent, maybe we can have our shot at being the Boise State and Hawaiis and make a BCS game. I can't wait to see what happens next!!!

I concur that Mr. Williams has really added a lot of leadership and enthusiasm about not only the Green Brigade but about the athletic program within the band. From '99 (when I started at UNT) to now, the spirit of the band has increased exponentially!

I'm still here. I don't post that often, but still around!

I can't pick just one. The trio of Cody Spencer, Taylor Casey and Chris Hurd was so much fun to watch. The chemistry between those three were unsurpassed and they worked together to create havoc for the opposition!! So I go with Spencer, Casey and Hurd!!! (Kassell is in a very close fourth!!)

For me, it was Jeremy Pearl. Especially after the return off an interception in the '02 New Orleans Bowl for a touchdown. I loved his way of waiting like a "snake in the grass" in order to intercept a throw. He was never talked about much because Buckles, Knowlton, Priestley and company got most of the hype!!!!
