  1. ESPN article link I suppose when you don't compete in football, you put all that BCS bank into the arena. That is, if they are alloted BCS money. I'm not sure. And we only want how much for a new football stadium?
  2. What's with the Satan reference?
  3. Roasted pig = awesome.
  4. Some organizations/institutions have already set this up. I've known for a few months that Doc Sadler had his own page (bball coach @ Nebraska). After doing a search for "coach", these are some of the pages I've found. There are tons out there: Pac10 football: http://www.myspace.com/pacific10football "Official Nebraska Site for Nebraska": http://www.myspace.com/husker32 Big12 Conference: http://www.myspace.com/big12conference Doc Sadler's page: http://www.myspace.com/59131795 Some are fan pages. Some really do look like official pages. Make your own judgements.
  5. Soooo he's signed a track scholly with us and agreed to walk-on in football. Can Dodge comment on a kid in a situation like this, or is it still an un-signed kid because he's not within the same program?
  6. My guess would be he'd play into the WR rotation. Anyone have football stats on this guy?
  7. You must mean keeping up with the thread updates. Unless I missed something: are they broadcasting this via meangreeathletics.com?
  8. You mean run a practice?
  9. Back to his point: it's the speed that is going to give us fits. IMO, what is - and always has been - a mid-major's shortcoming vs. the OU's of this world is depth. For the most part, our first stringers will match up fairly well against them in size/speed, but after that it's all over. Winning consistently and having a coach that can sell a program will bring in the recruits - more of them - to bolster our 2nd/3rd stringers. I can't even fathom the sheer pandemonium in Mean Green nation if the team pulls out a victory in Norman on Dodge's first try/game. I hope to be a part of that, but I'll take the baby steps too.
  10. "Sorry, our bad. Looks like you've righted your ship. How 'bout another go?"
  11. I'm sorry, what does Brewster Academy have to do with this kid from Angleton High?
  12. I think pointing at security flaws (or as some in the media are doing: trying to place blame) in a case like this is frivolous. No amount of security is going to make any institution 100% secure, especially to such a random act of violence. There will be improvements made; people will question (understandably) why there was a 2 hour window between shootings and yet students still weren't notified. I've also heard rumors flying around that the bomb threat last week might be tied to this incident. I guess my point is that I'm seeing a lot people on abcnews.com trying to find blame for this. Perhaps in their anger and confusion, they are pointing their fingers at the officers/security who are in charge. I'm worried it really WILL lead to entire campuses being fenced off, and metal detectors at every building. I'd hate to see that.
  13. The counter-argument to this is why would they care about Buffalo? If both of us (UNT and Buffalo) are also-rans in the eyes of the Bears, then all that's left to ask is why did they choose to go play up there when they can drive right up I35 to play us? I imagine the savings on travel costs are immense. THAT's a big deal to any athletic department.
  14. Ugh, who knows. Remember this? Dark days in Blacksburg.
  15. My first thought exactly.
  16. I wouldn't single out Gillespie in this. Florida, Baylor, etc, could have been recruiting him too.
  17. Saw something that really got under my skin. I stumbled upon a UNT group while looking for the spring game group called, "Unt Is Cool, But Ohio State Is the Shit". From the groups info: ...and goes on with a top 10 notables about "THE great Ohio State University..." There are 17 members. A sad truth about where we stand now, but what's really the point of this group? If he'd really be willing to give his twig'n berries, he could have done something a little bit more conducive towards our goal :/
  18. he's the hopeless romantic.
  19. The article seems vague. The guy is walking on at OU, and the only opinion cited in the article is Wasson's own. No mention about how anybody on OU's staff really feels how this guy will play out.
  20. Fantastic analysis. Welcome to the board.
  21. It just means that the invitation will be extended if they hit the 6 win mark.
