  1. It certainly puts my high school's to shame! I've been to a couple (not a lot) college softball fields and UNT's is really nice. For the record, I think golden sinks and faucets in the bathrooms with Eagles etched into them would be f'n SWEET.
  2. I prefer to think of them as being on the 10-year plan, as many of my friends are
  3. Mentioned at the end of this thread. But this deserves its own topic. Does any class in recent memory come even close to what JJ has put together this year? This is pretty darn exciting.
  4. nice here's the release
  5. Every single one of them!
  6. Can I get linkage to the LSU story, please? *edit* found it here
  7. I'd like us to get to the point where the opponent we play is irrelevant. Based on past performance, we are relying on what is on the other side of the ball @ Fouts to attract fans. Kind of a sad reality to me. People should - and hopefull WILL - be attracted to UNT because UNT is a fun, winning atmosphere.
  8. Some great (and funny) reads from the original thread I think are worth re-mentioning for the newer folks:
  9. we could roll out the all-white jerseys! And bring in the Diet Coke Boy for the coin flip
  10. Campus was beautiful. More beautiful than ever. Some eye candy for what it's worth: Everything is still "there" (except Mr. Chopsticks), but Tomato has vacated and, surprisingly, the CD Warehouse next to Subway is gone. There have been posts re: how much merchandising has changed @ Voertman's, but nothing could prepare me for what I saw. I think nearly half the store is clothing/merch. The only disappointment is that there were some shirts with the lime-green look we all don't like. Old Chopsticks lot Tomato Outside Voyager's Dream CD Warehouse entrance Stunning. The new buildings are gorgeous. Green grass everywhere. Fountain functioning Fountain plaque Albino squirrel in disguise! Don't be fooled I know it's not much. There's these and a few more here
  11. I thought we played Tech @ Texas Stadium? I didn't know we every played A&M there.
  12. I agree I'd like to see us move on, but his shot on our facilities means I'll bite my tongue and let the bashing continue. If he's not moving on from us, I don't blame some of the posters here for continuing to lash at him.
  13. apples/oranges. we're subsidized. they're not.
  14. Are you calling him out on an opinion? I thought he offered a great perspective, and he made it clear that it wasn't he THOUGHT would happen. Just a worst case scenario. No harm in that, right?
  15. Just to add to that: UTEP doesn't have one. The heat here is different, though. Still hot, but different. My own perception: the humidity in Dallas wears you down and makes the day feel 'heavy'. In contrast, the heat in El Paso really burns through your skin. It feels as if the sun is making a personal point to fry any one standing in its direct line of sight.
  16. If true that he signed, a great addition to the team. He's used to winning, and I'm sure (or, in the least, HOPE) will not tolerate anything less. Anyone else notice that his Rival's profile doesn't list NT as one of his possible choices?
  17. UNT has pain in the ass parking? Please explain. Most gameday experiences I've been to (outside Denton) would give their right arm to have our parking "problems".
  18. I don't remember cleanliness ever being the big issue. Part of it, sure, but that's not why people create savefrystreet.com or preservedenton on MySpace. They can pick whatever decade they want to model it after, a Starbucks is still a Starbucks no matter what neighborhood it respects...and it certainly isn't the Tomato. I've heard it's relocating somewhere near the Best Buy. I miss Mr. Chopsticks, too. I'll be quick to find out where they moved to.
  19. Our home Navy game is the battle for 51st place!
  20. Winning and who we play go hand in hand in helping attendance.
  21. I didn't know he had social anxiety disorder.
  22. BSU was winning before Hawkins. They're probably continue to win after Hawkins, Peterson, etc. I think it was Hawkins that said "Tradition never graduates." I'd like to know more about non-qualifiers. There seem to be several schools out there with a roster loaded with them (Fresno/Boise come to mind), but I don't know all of them. Come to think of it, the only time I ever find out is when those schools finally get the big win. Probably because there are tons of non-BCSers out there happy to jump on the train and enjoy the moment of the "David beating Goliath", and thus tons that are happy to squash the party and throw out these academic/non-qualifier bits.
  23. *shivers* small hands. smell like cabbage.
