I've never in my life heard of the M in A&M standing for marine. I suppose you might see it somewhere with a sizeable pond? ...but College Station? Definitely mechanical.

I like reading CFN. They may not be conference specialists, but I dig their overall outlook on things. A couple seasons ago one of their columnists said to the effect, "of course I'm not going to know as much about the Sun Belt as a North Texas fan is. A Sun Belt fan is going to know the intricacies of Sun Belt team vs. Sun Belt team in week 7 as good or better than I. But what I do is look at the big picture: Sun Belter vs. Ohio State in week 2. or WAC team vs. SEC team in week 3." That's paraphrasing big time. I'll see if I can find the writeup.

Perhaps we played a prevent so early because Mendoza liked our odds: ULM, in order to tie it up, would have had to successfully convert 3 2-point conversions, AND get two consecutive onside kick recoveries. I've seen crazy things, and I didn't feel comfortable until they failed the second 2-point conversion, but I can understand why it might be okay to run that prevent the way we did. just my 2 cents

I thought it was hilarious. Some of ya'll need to realize that blogging is entirely different from what they are obligated to write through the DRC/DMN. It was all in jest as he was just having some fun. If you have been in a closet for the last couple years, Jeff has been a regular contributor to the NT Daily and DRC/DMN and is currently covering DFW prep sports. Obviously, he is helping Brett with NT coverage (where was Brett?). FWIW, he's as big a NT fan as any of us. Can't roast a guy for a little sarcasm, can we?

A recruit can say whatever he wants, and the media can do whatever they want. The rule is made for the institutions that are recruiting the player.

So who got benched for Fitz? UNFAIR. Stickler isn't get attention? What the hell was the circus he laid on LaFa last week? Mop-up duty? If he gets benched in favor of someone else, whether they're younger or not, than I expect a great performance (not necessarily stats) in his place or an announcement that Stickler broke team rules. Todge has his system. If people aren't getting what they want AND we're losing, somebody has to whine.
