  1. 1) I did and still do 2) I love the game, and the band's attitude is miles better than what it had 8 years ago. 3) Find out why before you put this in a negative post. We took uniforms in '01 (I think that was the year I was GB and we went to Norman), so maybe there's a reason they didn't have them. 4) Check. Duh, of course. 5) see re: #2 Since you are in a position to be so critical of the band, as if you experienced what it was like 8 years ago and what Mr. Williams has done in the last 3 to better it, I suggest you go to him and get something constructive said, and a constructive response...rather than making shell accusations on a board Nick Williams has posted on maybe 3 times the last 3 years. I wouldn't put money on him seeing this tonight and responding but, hey, maybe he'll pleasantly surprise us.
  2. I support lightning in a bottle.
  3. aw green grenade!
  4. What were you doing watching a game from within the 10 yard line?! Get in the stands like the rest of us, dude.
  5. I thought Monroe had a spread while Steve Jyles was there? What happened to that O?
  6. Boston College? Phili? I think mean green nation must know. Stylized eagle?
  7. that's ROFL because it's so true. HAHAJKBFF u r l337
  8. Google is fabulous.
  9. nvm. got it
  10. indeed. MMA.
  11. Most amazing punt I've ever seen.
  12. A million different ways to spin that. I think we'd all agree that he wasn't going to be given a chance at QB in Austin, yet I don't think UNT is the only place that would give him a chance at QB. I'm glad he's coming here; the competition at his position will only make everyone better.
  13. At least look at the positives: we've got an athlete coming to our school. If he was a "system" quarterback, I'm okay with that because we've got the system that he'll produce in. Timmy Chang didn't get a sniff in the NFL, but do you think Hawaii cares? Looking ahead to the Vizza-Riley battles, I imagine Todge will put the best man for the job at our school. He said it himself in the media conference video. To paraphrase, "I truly believe we have are going to be set with a great quarterback for the next 4 to 5 years." If all of this and gmg.com is ridiculous to you, than hopefully you can at least take Todge's word for it. PS: way to piss in our cornflakes...again. You love the attention, don't you? There is absolutely no reason to rub a turd on Riley (despite all the positive media attention he has indirectly brought to UNT), yet you insist on fulfilling your right to express your opinion here. Way to be counter-productive.
  14. I don't want to join the BCS. If anything, 5 years from now I want us to be the reason they get rid of it.
  15. I wish someone had video of that.
  16. I'll take "True freshman kicks field goal to win game against OU. 2007"
  17. But he was SO good at making that first guy miss, even if they weren't really after him.
  18. I've always thought it would be so cool if UNT brought in alumni that are currently playing in the NFL. Hearing Kassell, Spencer, etc...now even Cobbs...hear them talk to the team after a practice about how they played with their hair on fire (keeping a zip lip about their coach's 'honored to be here' approach) and absolutely hated to lose. That would get my green blood boiling.
  19. It means you're loved.
  20. yeah that's Riley. That might even be his lady friend on his left.
  21. I'd be open to some kind of pay-for-play talks if the field of play was equal, but right now we're talking night-and-day difference in the life of a player from UT vs. a kid from Arky State. OR, how about they pay all the kids strictly in the non-BCS programs? That would be intriguing.
  22. Todge's offenses have never used a TE, although he has hinted at incorporating some new plays that would take advantage of the TEs on our roster from the previous regime. My guess is that he has something planned for the TE in 1st and goal situations, not in mid-field. You're right about the LB: possibly the weakest part of their D. I've heard the trenches are the best in Norman since Stoops took over, and the secondary could be out of this world. So here we are, looking at those LBs to see what they can do. Just curious LongJim: have you seen something/anything that makes you think the DE's are suspect?
  23. A checkdown to the RB in the left flat. a la Spring Game, but they (the RB) actually catch it.
