Those MWCers are former WACers that bring much more tradition into the equation. Where will Boise State be in 5 years? I wonder if they're losing momentum... Plus, Hawaii just lost their coach. They might be a one-and-done deal. If they prove me wrong, great, but I think their magic dust just left for the Hilltop to grow old and fizzle. When Hawaii and Boise State aren't ranked, where does the WAC stand? Fresno hasn't been on the map for "only" a couple years, but it seems eons since they were mountain killers. MWC schools can hang their hat on a lot more tradition from top to bottom...in basketball, too. PS: Not really saying where I hope we go, just an additional perspective. Personally, I like to just hang tight in the Belt and see what happens to football in a couple years. PPS:... and donors/funds. We need more money before we move anywhere.

As clarified above, we are a BCS school - and part of a BCS conference - but do not have an automatic bid (Think "The Big 6": Big X, Big XII, ACC, SEC, PAC10, and Big East) All FBS schools (Formerly called D-1A) are BCS schools and could get an at-large bid such as Hawaii last season and Boise St in the previous season. The way I remember it? FBS = Football Bowl Subdivision. Formerly D1-A, these are the teams that go to a BOWL. FCS = Football Championship Subdivision. Formerly D1-AA, these are teams that play in the playoffs thus determining a true CHAMPION. That's the way I think it, and I'm sticking to it. I hope it doesn't confuse some of you even more!

Is this a situation that seems to parallel to what happened to Dickey? Slinker had some fantastic teams in the early 2000's and has seemed to just be in a gradual fall since Jalie and Roselyn finished. Lightning in a bottle, again?
