Kinda wild, right? I don't think Quoner even bothers with JQ updates!

Graham has been on the offensive side of the ball for his entire life, gets fired for coaching a failing offense, and you want to see if he can coach defense?

lol Caponi and Co cannot take anyone lightly.

-2 on turnovers didn't help.

Defense - Someone Explain One Positive Attribute
greenminer replied to Green Lantern's topic in Mean Green Football
Memphis went nuts (40+) on a pretty salty Navy defense. Totally get the frustration with defense. Personally, I'm going to hold off on any shit posting for at least a few more games. Need more input -
what? Can you elaborate on this? We were off the hook for what we owed him, and now OU can hand that debt back to us?

There is nothing about this that is specific to Denton. He's letting everything and everyone know. If you want to give him the benefit here, believe that he WANTS the NIL to step up in Denton so he can stay. For the sake of consistency and not having to move.

Come on DT, you may be loyal this year, but read the room. You don't play that card publicly while midseason.
-
we are on our way to a pretty good season but if we want to win ‘ships, the defense needs to step up.

One inch at a time. One this team, we fight for that inch.

Heard they were on the table as a travel partner because of their location. I read nothing about any such UTSA prestige.

Memphis, Tulane and Army …the next three
greenminer replied to Sig381's topic in Mean Green Football
I mean, any team could win a big game. Outside of the coaching staff, 2018 was an entirely different Army roster ago. Last year, with some of the same roster we are currently talking about, Army lost 62-0 to LSU. So, whatever. -
Go to the official NCAA site, find the page for FOOTBALL STATS, pick the TEAM STATISTIC option for RED ZONE DEFENSE. It's on the last page, page 3 of 3. Because we are tied for last. https://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/704/p3

Team is currently bottom 20 in the country in ppg allowed, ypg allowed. you and I have different definitions of "vastly".

We are tied with 7 other teams for allowing teams to score 100% of the time in the RZ. t's interesting to dive, though. Of those 7 teams, we are far and away the best at holding teams to FGs. This is not a Caponi defense: I am not okay in any way or form being last in the nation in a defensive category.

I don't think they're doing this out of spite, nor is this some massive stain on the UNT brand. I stand by what I said, because I'm not interested in burning any bridges at all, and am willing to work with people on this. Tough crowd, I guess.
-
Maybe I drink too much Meen Grean koolaid, but I just dont' think it's a reason to cancel them. Find reasons to stay connected with local establishments, not burn the bridges. Maybe a fan will want it enough to volunteer the two minutes to proof read their promos/releases before they get sent out. They might appreciate that.

Could be autocorrect, which is obv out to foil the Mean Grene brand.

I don’t think we should be quick to alienate one of Denton’s only Mean Green athletic hotspots. Especially over a freakin typo. Let them know that you think it comes across as lazy and unprofessional looking, and move on.
-
perhaps a typo

Progress is a maybe. I took from this, a tale of two halves. Allowing 10 points in the 2H after a 20 point 2Q is cool. We don't have that kind of wiggle room if we want to beat Memphis.

I thought of Darden and his remarkable run at the front end of 2020 (senior year). I mean, the entire year was amazing for JD, but he had 11 TDs in the first 6 games. NINE in the first four games of 2020. Now that I look at the figures again, I remember that he finished strong, too. I don't think we celebrate 2020 Darden enough. Senior Darden: Junior Sheffield:
