  1. Shows that we are getting stuff done. It's not very informative, but it creates this perception of productivity. One more rat in the race that is social media, and schools looking to be better/busier/whatever than their peers.
  2. Re: Harris, and putting UTSA hate aside, wouldn't there be a TON of concern over his knees? I seem to recall he nearly had to hang it up like 1 or 2 seasons ago.
  3. I think I read someone on the board recently post that we will not owe SL any more money after January. If true, maybe that gives us more leeway to act on Caponi faster than we would have otherwise.
  4. how many ADs never give their coaches an opportunity to adjust/fix? What if you believe the difference between dead last and enough-to-win-10 games is EXTREMELY CLOSE, and attainable with the same guy?
  5. Contracts work according to whatever they say and signed up for. Which could be anything. I totally get this notion that, "I would never sign up for anything that lets them adjust my pay or position", but there is some precedent here. Off the top of my head, the Baylor President was removed from his role - not fired - after the Briles fiasco. He was "reassigned", before ultimately resigning himself. An Oberlin woman's lacrosse coach said some things about transexuals competing in the sport that the college did not like. She was not fired. She claims she did not break any rules. Oberlin got a little wish-washy with their position, and ultimately She was reassigned due to "breach of trust." Do I think these are exact parallels? No. But one possible takeaway is, if you really want someone moved, a way could be found.
  6. If his current productivity didn't get him on this list, I doubt starting those other two games would make the difference. Something else is at play here.
  7. Would this mean they would ignore MBB again?
  8. There are good arguments to get rid of Caponi and this isn’t one of them.
  9. Yeah, but some people aren't even on board with the short leash.
  10. Some can. They can have language that allows for re-assignment rather than termination. And, with said reassignment, a new pay-rate.
  11. Would love to see both of them return for the TBT tournament and suit up for Bleed Green. IIRC, Jones is on board but the logistics of it (coming from overseas, timing, etc) make it really hard to participate.
  12. Let's put you at Mosley's table for 10 minutes. Mosley: "We're keeping Caponi for another year, because we believe with a full recruiting cycle, he gets a fair chance to build the roster he needs. We will have at least one year of continuity on the DC position. Caponi understands the optics of this, and our expectations for year 2. If we hire a new guy NOW, we are bringing in ANOTHER DC and with him, a new system - a square system - to try and work with these round players." You: what's your response?
  13. I think some people really enjoy the back-and-forth, in "good sports fun". I don't care for it, but they aren't going to listen to me. So I have to sort through all this garbage back-and-forth to get the content I want to read. Different people come here for different experiences. Nothing we can do about it.
  14. If you're wondering how much money is being thrown around for these top players. (I wonder how many of these offers flop?)
  15. What accounts can you follow for this type of update? I found one, curious if any of y'all have other suggestions https://www.instagram.com/transferportal/
  16. Never good enough to get hired away Never bad enough to be an obvious fire career 0.500 guy sounds eerily familiar Thankful for the time we had, but glad we didn't wait 18 years to move on.
  17. yeah, the title could use some clarification. Like, put "PWO" in their or whatever it is.
  18. He lost that chance when he entertained KSU, whether it was for real or for a raise in Denton.
  19. him and Booger for me. With Tony, I thought, "There's no way this guy won't be in the NBA." His presence under the basket was like nothing I had ever seen before, nor seen since he left.
  20. This board is crowded with Caponi frustration. What else do you want to read?
  21. Yeah, never understood this one either.
  22. Kinda wild, if you think about it.
  23. He’s trolling yall please don’t respond
  24. Kevin Jennings, RS-FR, led South Oak Cliff to a Texas state title. KJ has played sparingly in 2023, but has promising stats 18-24 w/3 TDs this year. Also, some rushing 12 for 28 yards and score.
  25. Worst defense in Denton ever, IMO, was under Mendoza/Todge.
