I'm not convinced he was referring to UNT at that point. He had already heaped praise on UNT, pointing out the NIT 'ship and how well we have played at home. At that point, the question and convo had shifted to general American talk, and he was name dropping other teams in the league.

I have zero problem with his old school ways.

What leads you to this conclusion? Not that you're wrong, but I just think with Jones and Buggs sitting out, now doesn't seem like a good time to be making these broad claims.

Being wildly uninformed about the name drives me nuts. Like some media mouth on a broadcast play-by-play...calling us NTS is wrong and I will drop my jaw at how unprofessional they look. If I can tell they are just trying to troll me - and I usually can - I can move happily onward.

Probably playing it day-by-day. Nothing I've seen or heard suggests this is a long term issue.

Both playing football at pretty high levels (NFL/NCAA scholarships/etc) ...along with Archie, legends in the football south. I don't think anyone is automatically sorting these younger kids into the same tier as their predecessors, but it's not some wild, illogical leap to assume there's a ton of football happening in the household - from an extremely young age - and they deserve a hard look. Isn't Chubba leaving because they brought in a stud and he (Chubba) isn't being guaranteed the starting job?

Would be interested in knowing what percentage of FBS scholarship players (that graduated HS on/after start of NIL) stay at the same school for 3+ years.

I think the first coach cliche I ever got used to was Haskins always saying, going into every new season, if we can protect our home, and win at least half of them on the road, we'll be in the title conversations. Like everything he said, it's anchored in a ton of truth, and the above is why we are winning championships.
