Does Rodgers have any legitimate offers?
greenminer replied to Jonnyeagle's topic in Mean Green Football
definitely true Are you speaking from some personal experience, or maybe something you witnessed with a friend? "not in all cases" alone isn't the strongest way to argue about the the decision of G5/P5 when it comes to NFL prospects. in case in matters, I wasn't thinking about just the draft. I would think if you impress enough on a pro day, someone will give you a chance, even if it's just a FA deal. -

If you’re producing the NFL will find you. I think the P5 advantage is in play when you’re riding the bench, not producing, but you get to do workouts on a pro day that has many more scouts than you would see at a G5 pro day. -

maybe he is, but I saw that tweet and interpreted it more as a "good luck, bro" message. -
Thanks. Where can one find these NIL numbers per school?
-
ugh, sorry. My brain read that as "played", not beat.
-
I would think the NIL budget has nothing to do with the school's budget, right?
-
I'm reading conflicting information about this. What's the scoop? Anyone with 100% certainty?

I was pretty late to this party, and I expect more to catch up soon. -
What should our priority be: QB or Defense?
greenminer replied to NT80's topic in Mean Green Football
Yep. And expect redshirting to be avoided, as we want the most out of the HS kids before they move on. -

Cash is still verballed to us, right? IIRC he gets to Denton this coming semester. -
Just to be clear, these are verbals?

probably my biggest gripe about the current setup: a program can bring in athletes on NIL, not have to put them on scholarship. The entire thing has basically negated the scholarship limit. I hope they find a way to stop this, but color me skeptical. The entire world is flipped right now.

“Massive revenues”? I want to know what that’s like in Denton.

8 games in: what do we now know of the Hodge era?
greenminer replied to greenminer's topic in Mean Green Basketball
I’m excited for Edwards, but man! There is a ton of misfire here. EDIT: oh! You’re a UVA grad, right? Are you currently enrolled at UNT? Welcome to the board. -
I think the nature of last years team makes for a difficult comparison. last years team would’ve won one game between the UTSA/Memphis/Tulane stretch, comfortably, and then get inevitably humiliated by 30+ points in the other two. Probably the ones that were played in front of the larger audiences.

1) What did you see in Reff that inspires the statement above? 2) What did you see/not see in Morris that inspired the statement below?

No love for Colorado and their rebuild?

Has a coach ever had immediate success switching to a different scheme? You rarely hear of that - I know I cannot think of one example. But maybe it's out there. I want to know about it, and how things went in year 1, when the coach didn't have much experience with it. I think a side effect of this era is going to be simplification. Since players and coaches don't see each other for more than 1 or 2 years, don't try and coach up something that takes 2+ years to fully grasp. Keep it simple and get them to execute it better than the opponent executes theirs. Coincidentally for us, this is where the Leach tree excels.

I feel the opposite. I Feel like there are signs Hodge is an INCREDIBLE coach, he's just missing some pieces.
