When you get past the contracts for the conference champions, I think it could come into play. ESPN has a history of moving some things around to get their favorite matchups. So, it can help if we want to be in the best position possible.

This label that they're doing a poor job simply comes from your expectation that you think it should line up with every one else. I get it. I agree this isn't a good look. I just want to be clear that they aren't breaking any rules, or missing any deadlines.

Are y'all making a mountain out of a molehill? Perspective: I have not once, ever as a MBB fan, frowned on the team that was last to put their schedule together. @CMJ has never in the history of GMG.com posted any content to the like of, "Damn! That program needs to get their heads out of the sand and finish their schedule!" Is all this hoopla come from shame (comparing to others, because you think others care?) , or just a matter of inconvenience (which, makes sense. Y'all want to plan trips)

I think the voters slobbered over his bowl win and MVP trophy. All amplified by how piss-poor our bowl history is. Just, in general, a historic season for our program relative to what have in our books. I think his longevity looked great, and they can celebrate it, but it wasn't the catalyst or sealed the deal. You bring up an interesting twist: I wouldn't be surprised if they frowned on athletes that transfer out/leave, and don't graduate. I don't know off the top of my head how that factors into current HOF members. Maybe you're onto something there.

This is all frustrating and all, but I don't think there is any NCAA deadline that they have failed to meet. Not sure what you mean by "competitive" level, other than comparing this to the time table that our peers met.

I've always loved Bowl season. You're 5+ games into the MBB season, enjoying a (likely) 20+ win team find their identity, and you probably enjoy some holiday time off from work. The Stars and the Mavs are 15-20 wins into their respective seasons. If you aren't hyping yourself up for a Mean Green FB bowl game, you have time to watch some FB teams that you didn't get to check out mid season. The pressure and drama of a FB conference championship is behind you. Now the pigskin game feels different, in a good way.
