QB commit - Chandler Morris - transfer from TCU
greenminer replied to DentonLurker's topic in Mean Green Football
Are you fn kidding me? If the next Morris comes in and loses to another freshman like the first time, I think we’d be alright! -
Is winning the AAC becoming realistic?

I don't understand why they don''t make all of them, every game. They're gimmies! -
Is Morris the last Portal Committ?
greenminer replied to El Paso Eagle's topic in Mean Green Football
They can add more now if they choose. If players entered the portal before the deadline, and are still available, schools can recruit them. Not sure who is available right now. -
All solid options, Emmitt. I give the edge to Mitchell, because we seem to be alright at guard and could use some more presence under the rim. Next in line would be either Hamlet or Bell.

There seems to be a massive divide in perception on Morris's ability. I'm not even talking about his injury bug; people seem very polarized about his abilities. My humble 0.02? Morris is bringing a lot more to the table than what Rogers did at the same time last year.

Seems we have a knack for making opposing fans want to quit their team.

Tylor Perry Stats from game against Grant
greenminer replied to Jonnyeagle's topic in Mean Green Basketball
Not weird, IMO. Grant is standing in front of his supporters and can proudly claim to building the winning culture in Denton. -

I think you take your chances with Morris and his injury bug in Denton, and then get Mooney. -
Is winning the AAC becoming realistic?
greenminer replied to Tommy Gadberry's topic in Mean Green Basketball
We are, mathematically speaking, exactly where I had thought we could be. I still think Memphis and FAU are favored, but they do not appear to be as unbeatable as I once thought they would be. They are very vulnerable, IMO, and we can steal some win(s) against them. -
I think this comes down to what we are actually working with in DFW, versus what should be working with.

QB commit - Chandler Morris - transfer from TCU
greenminer replied to DentonLurker's topic in Mean Green Football
It’s not really excitement over the athlete, it’s excitement over the position. Coach Morris has plenty of experience taking a QB that is not hitting everyone’s radar, and turning them into the general of a really good offense. maybe “relief” would be more appropriate? -
With some form of “I told you so.”
-
The way they are ending up trying to guard Edwards on the outside is opening up some opportunities under the rim.
-
We are slowly stretching our lead. Also, as usual, holding them WELL below their scoring average. I personally LOVE these games where we hold opponents to game totals in the 40s.

...go get some playmakers on the DL. please!

Are we not signing a transfer QB?
greenminer replied to meangreenfaninno's topic in Mean Green Football
Would be so UNT for him to go to TCU, and we flop with Morris while Seals excels in FW. -
Nick Saban retiring

Have they tried the Capcom sequence? -
For fun, other interpretations of our successes: "Looks like the postseason has been kind to them." "Ayeeee, they've won a few games the last few years." "Took out some team called Purdue in the NCAA years ago. Had to look them up."
