  1. I have no feel for our team. No idea what we do well, or what we want to do (outside of physical defense). I was thinking back to the early McCasland era when he was constantly heaping praise on our roster for just loving to play together, any chance they could. do these current guys love to play together as much as Grant’s did?
  2. yes! 12 seed, 30-win, Will-Wades-been-to-6-straight-postseasons-including-S16, McNeese! Y'all (not necessarily you GJ)! Take off your football glasses. There are incredible programs dwelling in these off-name conferences. We have useful metrics that can validate their quality of ball, regardless of name/conference affiliation.
  3. Tigers pull it off. Another great OOC run by our fellow American Athletic mates.
  4. Both teams have shot extremely well from 3.
  5. I don't understand the reluctance to incorporate some short-yardage options from under center. You can still be air raid or whatever you want the other 90% of the time. It's so limiting to not have it.
  6. Reminder that this big Memphis matchup is early. 1:30 tip
  7. “We can’t afford to buy him out” ”we def can afford to buy him out” lots of posts with a sense of authority on this, from both sides. Does anyone have any actual insight, or are you just extremely comfortable in your assumption?

  9. YETI has a collegiate collection. I didn't get a chance to snag one of the above, so I'm hoping that UNT will become available on their website. Eventually?
  10. You mean the playbook that famously can be drawn out on a napkin?
  11. I'm not sure what the path is for Cobbs long term. A lot of us would absolutely love to have him in a HC role in Denton, but we want to see him gain HC experience first. Do we take a chance and give him that crown? Do we watch him leave, and possibly not return...ever?
  12. oh man, I remember that. Rumormill is that the pink slip was ready to give, and then they won...
  13. I dont' know about a presser, but EM was on the post-game radio show.
  14. EM was the first hire in my fandom (1999) that on paper made a ton of sense. Every single succession of hires since then was very reactionary: we went from running (DD) to passing (Dodge). Then we went from young and passing (Dodge) to old age, old school (McCarney). Then we went back to youth and tried the Leach tree In many ways, the EM hire being another young Leach guy, was the department's first attempt to seek consistency. Remember, SL was wnning some games, just failing in the important ones. I liked it, because it seemed like all this was was taking something that was almost there, and tweaking it as needed.
  15. Consider me on board here. Not interested in lingering on a "fence" decision if we get to a bowl and are blown out again. Especially not if it is 2-3 more seasons of 6 wins and a bowl whippings. Just whip us this last week, don't get eligible, and make it even more obvious we want to move on.
  16. Loyola-C easily handles Tulsa.
  17. No energy. Getting out physical-ed in the trenches. Red flags everywhere.
  18. The PxP mentioned that CM has never played this many games in a single season. I wonder if what we are seeing has to do with quality of competition, and/or some mental/physical challenges having never played this many snaps before.
  19. Charlotte and UAB lose. a couple slugfests, ECU pulls away in the 2H to beat UIC.
  20. Has he been paying attention to the defections the last couple years? My 0.02: it isn't really about wins/losses. He just doesn't feel it in Denton and wants to try another place.
  21. Wait, a spark? A spark that will light the fire?
