And just like that, Tulsa goes to Philli and puts an end to that streak. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/game/_/gameId/401725586/tulsa-temple

People like to watch their team win. If they can win pretty, great! But winning ugly isn't a deal breaker. Random thought about our facilities: if we are trying to appeal to a student that typically doesn't know or follow sports, would they even know that the Pit is an old or average facility? They could probably nit-pick about lightling but, other than that, I can see them coming in and not really thinking about it.

This made my day. How did this nugget get past the ESPN approvals? -
Yeah, tough run. Temple is undefeated at home in AAC play.

The base is still extremely bitter about this, so no jokes about Luka. BUT....... Tell them there will be 50 Nico pinatas and the first X amount of fans get a bat....

Every year thousands of kids graduate from DFW high schools with zero insight into our history, and with them potential partners/immediate family. I think we have an uphill battle, but I don't really buy into the cultural/historical excuses, maybe a little bit, but much moreso is a battle with technology and connectivity.. People, young and old, have hundreds of options to be entertained each and every weekend, nearly any hour of the day. In cafes, in air-conditioned mancaves with 4 flatscreens hanging on the walls. Over at their friend's Overwatch lan party with drinks of choice. I dream of a S16 appearance. It's sooo. hard, but we are one or two possible recruits away from making that leap. And I know it would give our fanbase a jolt that is desperately needed. Still need our AD to figure things out, too. A S16 appearance, IMO, would change the culture of our school. I can't overstate the media frenzy that surrounds a community that has a basketball team in it. It is wild. It would be bigger than any postseason win our football program has ever seen, and maybe we'd actually be a basketball school, and @NorthTexasWeLove could move on to his next bit. Maybe #TripleOptionFootball

Ranting about the AD, Students, Attendance and Fan Support

I don't think I've ever seen this from our AD. So, a step in the right direction. They really need to look at how minor league baseball teams do promos. There is soooo much inspo they can get. -
Yes! In that sense, tons of frauds in the AAC 😉

FWIW, they are second in the AAC in adjusted defensive efficiency (ahead of us). Per Hodge on the post-game.

who is the baby lol

The answer, IMO, is to test the needle. If it doesn't work ,we tried and we can move on. It feels (sometimes) like we aren't trying hard enough.

How far in advance do they make these schedules? McNeese at one point was a Q1 NET, one or two seasons ago. I wonder if being in the 40-50 range of NET is tough because we're a team pretty darn capable of beating these them, but not Q1 so it's not worth it to them? Just throwing that out there. I'm all for getting more opportunities to beat Q1 teams. We need it!
