  1. Come on Andrew. A mindset that doesn’t question things, never wants for more? That’s a recipe for really awful things. On an individual and societal level. you are on your own, unique hill when it comes to loyalty, but this is just wrong.
  2. I refuse to buy into this convo as if every successful AD is only successful because they hire their graduates. we have sucked historically, and hiring UNT grads may help, but can we not talk like it will only work if we hire UNT grads? If I got hired at Georgia, I would still work to build/nurture their Georgia fanbase. I expect the same when we hire people to come to Denton.
  3. Rew-been Rewb'n
  4. One of the best parallels I can think of is Ken Dorsey. One of the most ordinary QBs I ever witnessed, surrounded by some of the best CFB players to every play (at least, for Miami) EDIT: except, Rubin is def a step, no, a gigantic leap above ordinary.
  5. You were not cheering for the name on the front?
  6. When this is over and we look back at this UCONN run since 1999, what will we be talking about? A great defensive scheme, like Boeheim’s 2-3 zone? Or maybe something on the offensive side? What makes this so special?
  7. But "I" never thought the same about Houston. 😉 you're right, though, that anything can happen.
  8. Purdue can have a word. Then they'd get steamrolled. I don't see anything short of a miracle stopping the Huskies this year.
  9. I learned in my zoology studies that if you stop responding to trolls they will find a new territory to inhabit.
  10. can't get past the fact that the colleges/NCAA/media are BANKING on these players' abilties/performance.
  11. Memphis needs to get their shit together or those token illusory T10 rankings will disappear.
  12. I think both Gonzaga and Duke like where they are at.
  13. I can. We would have lost our coach to Michigan and feared for our future. FAU is still playing in a practice barn and might disappear into irrelevancy for a while...again. (And it'd be totally worth it!)
  14. Paging @HoosMeanGreen. Curious if you were able to attend and what you thought of the atmosphere. I personally love the small arenas for intense basketball.
  15. This is awful basketball. Our interior offense seems incompetent. We seem to have no idea how to get the ball inside and score. And when Edwards has a breakaway, he gets dumb.
  16. FAU looked out of sorts. Almost like some people on the roster MAYbe thinking about a big career change.
  17. There are lots of names out there for that, Lifer! Cold shooting. A dry spell. There's some overlap here, but they are not always the same. I equate choking to late game collapses. Instead of thinking maybe the other team made the adjustments it needed to, let's just pile it on those Ponies, right?
  18. It was closer to 11 minutes for that score, and anyone who knows basketball will tell you a 10 point lead with 10 minutes left is not safe. There are choke jobs, and this is not one of them. I can tell you're intentionally reaching to dog pile on an old rival. 🤣
  19. Indiana state ties the game at around 8:40 remaining, and pulled away for the comfy win. not sure what you got that from. EDIT: maybe you’re speaking of a different game.
  20. Seton hall went 5-8 in Q1 games year. That's a lot of Q1 opportunities.
  21. Sycamores laid 61 2H points on the Ponies!
