We should beat FAU and ULM. Of couse we should have won many other games as well. Just how does the situation get worse? Do you really believe that any AD at a D1 school would have kept Dickey.

The funny thing about the Einstein quote is it has been used by many from time to time over the years to criticize Dickey's offense.

I was surprised that no one has mentioned the all Green paid open letter to Dr. Bataille, Bobby Ray, Lee Jackson, and Rick Villareal. It is to long to write and since it is a paid ad I don't think I can attach it. Among many things he says the if the Practice Facility is not named after Darrell Dickey he wants the $1,000,000 to go to the One O'Clock Lab Band. Has anybody else seen it and do you know how to attach it?

From my perspective he was being fouled regularly and the Ref's did not call them.

The PA announcer is Tim Crouch who also announces at football games. As far as attendance I would say around 500-600 were present.

The only way you can produce those numbers is to compare the cost for 12 conference opponents (i.e. UNT) vs. the cost for 8 conference opponents (i.e. La Tech). La Tech has an opportunity to save money in non conference non revenue sports by scheduling lesser or closer opponents. The best way to compare is to add up all conference travel expenses by sport and then divide it by the number of teams in the conference participating in those sports and add the numbers. I think I will accept the internal numbers from the State of Louisiana relied on by the ULL President.

I think most of this information has been well known for a long time. What I have never understood is why the WAC Presidents did not go for the counter offer and take UNT, ASU, ULL, and MTSU. That would have killed Sun Belt football and opened up some media markets (albeit mostly small ones) which I believe would have been to the WAC's advantage.

I think DM is the best quarterback we have, but if he was my son I would make the decision for him and he would stop playing football.

This season cannot be saved. Nonetheless, a win over LaTech would ease the pain.

Jerry Moore was taken off our hands when he was offered the Texas Tech head coaching job. He did not last long at Tech.

I spoke with a friend today who played at SMU in the early 90's. It was the first time I had a chance to speak with him since the game. He commented that he was really impressed with two things: (1) The Tailgating. He said "I wish SMU had tailgating like that." and (2) The student section. He said the students were really into the game and far exceeded the enthusiasm of SMU students at home games. I think the two things are interrelated and that RV deserves a lot of credit for both. I know two former SMU players and both think we should be in the same conference with SMU and believe that yearly games would make for a great rivalry. Another friend told me a week or so ago that his daughter left the house the day of the SMU game and he asked if she was going. She said "only the tailgating, I am not going to the game." During the tailgating some SMU fans walked by her and her friends and said "Don't party to hard we expect you to be back at your job working for us on Monday." Needless to say, she was at the game and very vocal.

Perhaps we could have Mean Greens night and everyone who brings a can of greens gets in for $5.

You can say that again! The DMN had predicted at the beginning of the season that SMU would be 3-1 and we would be 0-4 at this point.
