  1. I agree, I was just making a worst case scenario if Leppo didn't work out. I think we will be fine at center.
  2. Drake can play center and Freely, Fortenberry, Franklin, can take Drakes spot.
  3. I have a co-worker that graduated from Rice. Decent guy, fairly smart, certainly wouldn't label him as very smart but no dummy either. His only problem is he doesn't know when to put down the fork, is going to die of complications from obesity before he hits 40.
  4. you guys gotta get in touch with your feminine side and learn how to judge the inner beauty as well as the ta ta's, I mean outer beauty.
  5. North Texas is easy to read about 12" down from helmet, the NORTH TEXAS that goes across the front of the jersey. Do we really need to have it in two places? Thursday night when MTSU was playing Minnesota, they had MT on their helmets, I doubt anybody watching didn't see Middle Tennesse up in the corner of the screen with the score and Middle Tennessee on their jerseys. Who cares what RV wants or likes, is he an alum of NT? Shouldn't it be more about what the paying alum, coaches and players want?
  6. I have ESPNU on Uverse.
  7. If anybody wants to watch the Mean Green game, enjoy adult beverages, and have some good eats but wants to stay in the Paloma Creek South area (off 380), send me a PM. I decided at the last minute to stay home and watch it in high def and not drive anywhere. All Mean Green fans are welcome.
  8. I think they announcer stated they had 25,800, 5th largest attendance in history. It sure looked like a lot of empty seats, seems their stadium has a lot of endzone seating. I was thinking last night how great our new stadium will look on TV.
  9. If the owner will PM me with the cost of decking out all their workers (for Saturday only) with a NT shirt, I will split the cost of clothing their employees.
  10. I had the opportunity to tour the AC and view the new stadium from different angles this past Friday. These pictures that everyone provides are great and I do appreciate them so much but they just don't do the stadium site justice. I was one stating the home side didn't seem very steeply sloped. I was completely wrong, it will have a very nice steep pitch to it. Also, the webcam only shows a small portion of all the activity. There are probably 100 people working around the entire site. The student side can't be seen with the cam but it is coming along great. The field seems dug down in all these pics but in person, overlooking from the balconey of the AC, it is way down there. This is truly going to an amazing stadium. I got to walk around back and view the practice fields and area between AC and dorms, very nice facilities. I can honestly say that we have a good shot at getting most recruits that come to campus and view our entire campus. I drove around campus and damn near wrecked several times due to all the eye candy walking around, who said we don't have a beautiful campus or were they talking about plants and stuff?
  11. I guess you don't get my point. These are employees, whether they are students or not. If I have to bring this up to management because they don't see it themselves, that is sad. A NT t-shirt cost a whole $15, that is too high to spend to ensure that each employ has NT apparel. Sorry but there are too many choices to watch the game, even in Denton, to be served by someone wearing a UT shirt at a NT game watching party.
  12. Are the waiters and waitresses going to be wearing UT shirts? Last year I went to a game at The Pourhouse and was in total shock at the girl waiting on our table wearing a UT shirt. I asked her why in the world she would do that. She said she always wanted to go to UT but was going to NT instead. I asked her if she thought at a bar/restuarant around UT campus the owner would allow employees to wear other schools shirts (especially if that establishment was promoting a UT game). She replied "probably not." If The Pourhouse doesn't fully support NT and allows this, sorry but I'm going to Varsitys in Frisco.
  13. Is the 37,000 total students: undergrad, grad, and doctoral? I just threw in 9 hrs trying to be conservative. 12 hrs average for everybody would be $4.4M for fall or whenever the fee kicks in. I think it will start next fall when the stadium is complete.
  14. what was the amount of the dedicated athletic fee per hr? $10 or so? If 37000 students took an average of only 9 hrs each, that's about $3.3M for the fall semester alone in dedicated fees.
  15. Dumpsalot is just a "regular" guy. Thanks ladies and gentlemen, you been a wonderful audience!
  16. Like it or not, fair or not, there are coaches every year that get let go for consecutive 6 - 6 or 7 -5 seasons. I want 7 - 5 at the very least or RV needs to follow through on his word. Bringing in a new coach (or Canalas getting promoted) doesn't have to be another 3-4 year down period, especially opening a new stadium. At work we have top sales people do an outstanding job signing deals and bringing in new business. Their production numbers are great and they get all their sales awards and bonuses. Then when budgeting time comes around, we ask them to increase their already high numbers an almost unobtainable amount. Of course they bitch and moan saying it can't be done but when they know that last years results don't mean squat and they can get let go for not reaching target, they bust butt and meet that incredible number. My point: Do you think these sales people would have obtained the results they did if they weren't pushed way beyond what they would have done if there wasn't such high expectations? You expect the best, you get the best. Expect mediocrisy, you get mediocre performance, and so on..
  17. I think most programs with a winning attitude have a 7 win ultimatum in place, stated or not. Every fan of NT should expect nothing less every single year, regardless of past performance, regardless of SMU, regardless of etc.....
  18. I remember watching that play over and over and over and it sure appears that not only the ball broke the goal-line but half his body as well before getting pushed back. This was definitely a tough loss because NT played a great, hard-nosed game.
  19. That seems awfully low. I thought I read where UNT's 2010 budget was almost $800M.
  20. anybody have any insight into how well the dedicated S&C coach for football is paying off. I am hoping to see a big, muscled up, mean bunch of players this season.
  21. Maybe kicked in the nads but certainly not punched in the head.
  22. Wow, I stand corrected. I read the link above and apparently Fastenal did move its distribution center to Denton. Guess I need to keep in contact with old friends a little more often.
