I work in the mortgage industry and we are "encouraged" to do things that maybe we shouldn't. However, if you were to ask me about any of these type situations, I would laugh in your face, or roll my eyes.

I didn't know that. So if we have 34K in spring and 36K in fall enrollments for undergrad only, do you happen to know our total enrollement? I didn't realize the enrollment count was undergrad only.

I believe that Fall enrollment is always higher than spring enrollment. The increase was from last spring semester to this spring semester.

If having to pay an athletic fee, just like all other schools have had for ages, is going to keep somebody from attending UNT, do we really want them here anyway?

I was in the military and don't recall anybody (I'm sure there were some individuals) grossly overweight and out of shape. It's sad to see so many heavy set police officers today, guess they better be a good aim with a tazer because they aren't running anybody down on foot.

I agree somewhat but you gotta admit, you could have been coach and the results would have been the same. We had much more talented teams than the rest of the Sun Belt, that is why we were winning.

I don't know how but we have got to improve our reputation not only locally but nationally as well. I know that winning cures a lot of ills and football record aside, a lot of the schools mentioned in this article couldn't carry our jockstrap. We are a growing university with plans to top off around 45K students, campus is huge acreage wise with room to build, the largest number of alum in the DFW area, and most of all they have me as an alum. The way they mentioned Montana and North Texas like that makes me want to go beat the crap out of a Pony.

I commented on the article, it took about 15 minutes because I had to go back and replace all the F bombs with more appropriate adjectives. These people don't want to compromise with NT at all yet they want NT to meet their every demand. I understand NT wanting to be a good neighbor and all but at the beginning, when the denia morons were making outrageous demands with buffer space, planting trees etc. we should have kindly told them to F off. I also understand that NT needs to work with the city and that Denton is notorious for being not only anti-business but also just pretty much inadequate at just about everything (except city officials being corrupt) but NT needs to flex their muscle and kindly tell the city to F off as well. Borroughs didn't like it when Jackson moved offices to Dallas and as much as I hated to see it happen, I enjoyed hearing the crying and whining from city officials. Denton hates NT but sure likes the $$$$ we bring in.

Thanks for serving, that is great. I have a question, really for anybody that served in any branch. Do you feel a pull for Army because you served, for another particular reason, or do you not feel a connection at all? The reason I ask is I was active duty Air Force from 91-94 but have no connection to how the Air Force Falcons perform on the field. I tried wearing my AF t-shirt and getting into a game several different times but never did feel an attachment. Maybe that is why I absolutely don't understand how someone can be a huge fan of a school they never attended, ie. UT or OU.
