I agree and since RV is dead set on having North Texas spelled out on the helmet, have this combo of eagle and letters. Maybe even be a little different and have the North Texas on one side and the eagle on the other. I know a few other schools have done something similiar but not too many.

Great for the softball team. I have a co-worker that went to OSU, will forward the article to him. Hopefully soon i can brag a little after football and basketball games.

To re-open it they would have to get the money from somewhere. As a nation, we are broke, how is it going to be financed? Also, the gov't doesn't run anything efficiently or effectively, why would we expect this to be any different. Less gov't is better gov't.

Romney already paid top taxes on any initial money he earned then he paid an additional tax on the capital gain he made from it. Not sure why people get capital gains tax and federal income tax confused. Two totally different taxes.

Kram, I do agree that sometimes people are negative too much on this board. I don't think you realize though that through all the jokes, sarcasm, pictures, etc. there is a lot of truth behind the bitching and griping. I have been following NT since 1995 and a lot of issues we have with the AD today are the exact issues we had back then. Don't you think that always blowing sunshine up peoples arses and only looking at the positives is really detrimental to the program? If the promotions dept sux then the truth to the matter is the promotions dept sux and ignoring it doesn't help a thing. Overall, having a glass half empty approach isn't the answer but having a glass completely full isn't either.

Official? Does it matter at all if it's official or not? If it's a good quality shirt with a logo I like, I don't care if the administration, AD, or LJ don't like it, they can all kiss my arse. When I hear "the AD is working on it" I feel the same way as when I hear "Congress is working on it".

Sounds like they already have. I wonder if their AD will nix a sharp looking logo/uniform that the athletes and fans want and instead insist they spell out Abilene Christian on the helmets?

Don't be fooled by some that want everyone to think we are still the little teachers college with low earning alum. We have some deep pocketed alum that are willing to give and have given in the past. We need to keep promoting our business and engineering departments so we can have more and more of these type alums.

Yep, I see it now. Those players were pumped about the new uniforms. Such a shame our hard headed administrators won't listen to the people that really matter.
