    So true. Unfortunately, RV has taken us as far as he can, he isn't capable of much more. However, we have people who remember how it was under Hewlig and are convinced RV is pure gold. Are we better off than we were under Hewlig? Absolutely yes. Are we where we should be after??? years of RV? Absolutely not. We need to cut ties with RV and go for a major AD hire. Like UNT90 has stated so many times (and rightly so) NT strives for mediocrity.

    If I start dating a girl that weighs 400 lbs and she then loses weight down to 350 lbs, she is slimmer than she was before I started dating her but damn, she has a long way to go. Kinda like our athletic budget, when you have spent so little towards athletics in the past, you have to increase it substantially just to get to par.

    That is why we need true leaders in place to do what is best for the university as a whole, not what others with an agenda want. We can't get rid of this mindset fast enough.

    I agree BUT I very little faith the govt can implement and run anything smoothly, effectively, or efficient. That is not a political statement at all but a reflection that ALL politicians are inept.

    Actually I think the business and engineering students outnumber the liberal arts students.

    Too bad companies can't be like the govt. Keep non productive employees on the payroll for life, spend taxpayer money frivioulously, and when that money runs out, just print some more.

    RV has done several very good things while at NT but I really think it's time for him to move on. Let's get someone who can take the AD to the next level.

    You keep touting things as facts and that Nobody is interested in the program. I work at a company with over 5k people in our office complex alone and it's a fact you are wrong. A lot of alums at work are aware and interested of the basketball situation but don't go to games because of Benford. All the crap you spout is your opinion, it's certainly not fact.
