Some people wouldn't balk at spending $100 for a video game and a case of beer....

Giving the Phonies a lot of credit there aren't you?

If a crow caw is taught to incoming freshman, then I stand corrected to so many co-workers that constantly make fun of us. I guess they are right, we should just concentrate on playing the flute and writing poetry. What next, some freak will want to adopt a white squirrel as our alternative mascot? -
JJ has absolutely no say in LSU's schedule. That is way out of his control.

I am just asking. I personally have only witnessed a few people doing the caw sound. When people grow up and realize being weird gets them no where in life, they will quit being weird just for the sake of it. Flame away you very few freaks:) -

why in the hell would Scrappy caw? He is an eagle, not a crow. I guess the same reason why Bevo wouldn't cluck like a chicken? -

You are the first person I have ever put on ignore. You are exactly what people think of when they think weird.

I simply said employers don't find it amusing. I did not state they have turned anybody down due to weirdness. On a regular basis you cut down people for their reading comprehension, maybe you should practice what you preach. As far as proof, probably everybody here has heard the regular water cooler talk about various universities, usually about sports. Many people comment on NT being weird and its not thought of as a good thing. Different strokes for different folks.

Our reputation is getting better among the business community, hopefully NT can overcome the weird tag and continue improving its image. If not overall, at least the business and engineering depts.

When I was a student, I liked smoking pot, getting drunk, and chasing tail. Should we make weed, whiskey and poon mascots?

The whole squirrel thing is an attempt at being weird. It has succeeded.

So in a roundabout, long winded, indirect way, you agree we should reach out to places we think are going to bring in more fans and more support?

You are the first to say cater, nobody else did. KRAM1 specifically said the last several caravans to Ft. Worth had terrible attendance. What is the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and.... never mind, you know the rest.

I will go one step further and say that Gainesville people, and surrounding areas, are huge high school football fans and are great candidates to get hooked on D1 football. The 30 mile drive South on 35 is a breeze.
