I'd like to personally give a big SCREW YOU to all the fans that left at halftime and the start of the fourth quarter. Ya, it was a little chilly, but really?? We're tied going into the fourth quarter and our lame ass fans can't tough it out and cheer our team on to victory? Good lord, people! I know we've seen a lot of losing and bad football over the years, but come on! Bowl implications are on the line and half the fans leave with the game tied? Unbelievably bad fans in this town. I was embarrassed. Those players deserve better.

Ladies and gentlemen, NT basketball is in a bad way. It will be a long, cold, lonely winter.

If Morris doesn't play well, will Littrell stay with him or will he pull him in favor of Shanbour?

The potential for UNT to be a player in big time athletics has always been there. I remember DMN articles from 25 years ago claiming UNT as the sleeping giant. We've been a perpetual sleeping giant with an administration that was apathetic towards athletics, at best. The pieces are finally in place for this great University to awaken and become the beast we all hoped it could be. It will just take a while to awaken, shake off the rust and assume the position. I'll always have faith that that will happen because this school has too much going for it. Location, enrollment, academics, proximity to D/FW. Athletics is the last piece of the puzzle to get the attention it's needed since the Fry era when we had our first big chance to move up the ladder.

He'll get his big pay day soon, I predict.

It's curious that many of us are reluctant to embrace smu and utsa as our rivals. Why? Because we're too good for them? Guess again. Rivalries are what they are and start naturally, not just because someone wants or doesn't want them. I enjoy/hate both schools equally. Well, maybe I hate smu a little more. But utsa is definitely a festering boil on our Mean Green butts.

Regardless, I'd rather be #79 than #128 no matter what poll it is. GO MEAN GREEN!
